Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are going strong, but is their romance having an impact on Hiddleston’s career?

Since Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston began dating, rumors have swirled in regard to what his PR team thinks about his interaction with Swift, and while the majority of the rumors have claimed they aren’t happy with the romance, a new report has suggested Swift is actually trying to help her new boyfriend land a role in the upcoming James Bond film.

Taylor Swift is “using her powerful Hollywood connections” to make sure Tom Hiddleston is cast as the next James Bond, a report by Celebrity Dirty Laundry explained to readers, according to a July 31 report by Gossip Cop.

Taylor Swift is “pulling a few strings” to secure the role, the site added.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry went on to claim Taylor Swift was motivated to assist in Hiddleston’s acting efforts to “help her own career.” According to the report, getting to write and perform the James Bond opening theme “would definitely prove to the entertainment world that Taylor Swift is a force to be reckoned with.”

Although Taylor Swift certainly wants to see her boyfriend continue to have success in the acting world, Gossip Cop labeled the Celebrity Dirty Laundry report absurd, claiming Hiddleston, whose agents represent some of the biggest actors in Hollywood, including Matt Damon, Denzel Washington, Ben Affleck and Liam Hemsworth, simply doesn’t need any help getting work.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston began dating one another in early June, just weeks after Swift and her former boyfriend, Calvin Harris, parted ways. A short time later, rumors began surfacing in regard to Swift’s potential impact on Hiddleston’s career, the latest of which claimed his PR team banned Swift from attending Comic-Con.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were also recently targeted by a report by Yahoo!, which claimed Hiddleston’s “showmance” with the singer “isn’t having the effect that their PR teams had hoped for” because Hiddleston is supposedly “losing a huge contract due to the ’embarrassing’ display” he’s been putting on with his girlfriend.

“Fashion giants Armani were considering using Tom as their new face, replacing Taylor’s ex Calvin Harris,” but the label has allegedly changed its mind “due to his recent publicity-hungry antics” with Taylor Swift.

The report claimed executives of the fashion label were convinced they would be accused of “cashing in” on Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s relationship if they allowed the actor to star in their ads and said they wanted to “disassociate themselves from” the high-profile romance.

Hiddleston was “on the shortlist” to become the new face of Armani, and because of his connection to Swift and her ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, the fashion house could have gotten “huge media coverage and headlines, but Armani see themselves as classier than that.”

The Yahoo! source also added, “Armani would hate to be seen as getting PR for their brand by riding on Taylor Swift’s coat tails, so Tom will not get the job.”

In response to the report, a source confirmed to Gossip Cop that the Yahoo! report was completely “untrue,” and added that Hiddleston was never in talks to replace Harris in their ads.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have been staying mum on rumors since they began and although their romance has been confirmed with their continuous PDA around the globe, they have kept the details of their relationship to themselves. That said, rumors continue to swirl in regard to their future together, many of which claim an engagement is coming soon.
