‘DWTS’ Alums Kym Johnson And Robert Herjavec Get Married: All The Details On Their Wedding, Plus Who Made The Guest List

Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec have tied the knot. The Dancing With the Stars pro dancer married the millionaire Shark Tank investor on July 31 in California, according to People.

Johnson, 39, wore a Monique Lhuillier strapless gown and was escorted down the aisle by both her mother and father as the Wizard of Oz anthem “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” played. E! News reported that the ceremony took place in front of 250 guests at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.

Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec’s wedding was star-studded. Several popular DWTS pro dancers and alums were in attendance to see Kym and Robert say their “I dos,” including Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Keo Motsepe, and DWTS judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough. In addition, many past Dancing With the Stars contestants made the guest list, including Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Noah Galloway, and Season 9 mirrorball champ Donny Osmond.

While Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron didn’t attend Kym and Robert’s wedding, he sent the happy couples best wishes from New England.

As for the reception, a champagne bar was set up in honor of the bride, while a whiskey bar was set up for the groom and his guys. Kym previously revealed that she is a “champagne girl,” so the bubbly, supplied by Le Medaillon Champagne, included Brut and Cuvée Reserve, while Robert’s whiskey bar featured signature cocktails, including a whiskey punch mixed with Australian ginger beer.

“I think it’ll be really cool – hopefully people don’t get too messy at the cocktail hour!” Johnson said ahead of the reception. “But it’ll be fun. I just want it to be a big party and a big celebration.”

Kym and Robert met while they were partnered on the ABC celebrity ballroom competition in 2015. While their partnership in the ballroom was cut short, their real life romance continued to flourish, although the couple played coy for a while. Herjavec proposed to Johnson with a stunning 6.5-carat ring in February, and he pulled out all the stops by flying her mother and other family members in from Australia for the occasion.

But when it came to the wedding planning, the groom made it clear that he would let his bride Kym take charge.

“I have a vision, but I’ve learned that Kym has a movie in her head that she’s had since she was four-years-old,” the 53-year-old millionaire told Closer Weekly in June. “I’m just happy to be a supporting actor in that movie,” he added.

The couple previously revealed that they planned to bring some of their DWTS past to their wedding. Kym told People that she and her husband-to-be were planning to reprise a choreographed dance routine to LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills,” the song that was used during their first-ever routine as partners on the TV dancing competition.

“We’re kind of reprising that dance, but with our bridal party instead of professional dancers,” Johnson said. Herjavec joked that everybody on her side of the bridal party is a professional dancer.

Kym previously told the magazine that her fiancé was initially hesitant to perform a dance at their wedding, but he soon warmed up to the idea.

“Robert didn’t want to do a dance,” Johnson told People. “[He] said to me ‘I so don’t want to do it, I’ve hung up my dance shoes,’ and the other day he’s like, ‘I want to do a full production. I want to do a number with the bridal party.'”

While he let Kym handle most of the details, the DWTS pro did admit that her wealthy fiancé was stunned by the cost of the décor for their big day.

“I’m not going to lie, he was freaked out about [the cost of] the flowers,” Johnson dished.

While this is Kym Johnson’s first marriage, Robert Herjavec has three children from his previous 25-year marriage to Diane Plese.
