Kym Johnson Marries ‘Shark Tank’ Star Robert Herjavec: Details About The ‘DWTS’ Alum’s Bachelorette Party
Shark Tank and Dancing With the Stars may be off for the summer, but the show’s one-time stars — Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson — are spending the warm months taking their relationship to the next level. As Us Weekly reported, the couple are set to tie the knot Sunday, and Johnson was spilling details about her Las Vegas bachelorette party.

Taking hints from Johnson’s Instagram feed, Us Weekly figured out that the bash was co-ed, featuring fellow Dancing With the Stars alumni Carson Kressley, who was a contestant, and Cheryl Burke, a long time pro. The crew flew from Los Angeles to Las Vegas where they saw Jennifer Lopez’s new show All I Have.
E! Online reported that Johnson ran into fellow Australian Nicole Kidman in Vegas, and Johnson was “fangirling” over the famous actress.
Back in February Johnson told Us Weekly that there will be a Dancing With the Stars theme, of sorts, at the couple’s wedding. The two met while contestants on the program and were eliminated short of winning the mirror ball trophy. But they had already been practicing the following week’s routine, which had a romantic song attached.

“When we were on the show last year, the week before we got kicked off, they gave us a song. And it was Etta James’ ‘At Last.’ It was our next dance to do but we got voted out so we never got to do it so it will be our first dance as husband and wife, I guess.”
People reported that the couple will go all the way back to their first dance as a couple on Dancing With the Stars, LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills,” which poked fun at Herjavec’s turn as a wealthy investor on Shark Tank. They will be using their bridal party to fill the roles in the dance, but as the businessman pointed out in the People interview, pro dancers are already in the wedding because of their connections to Kym.
Johnson revealed that the choreographed performances are meant to bring some fun into what should already be a joyful occasion.
“[After ‘At Last’] the bridal party are going to come on to the dance floor and we’re going to be doing a fun dance that’s going to surprise everyone I hope. So, it’s getting everyone on board though. I think the bridal party are a little freaked out that we’re making them dance.”
“Originally Robert didn’t want to do a first dance. We sort of said no to doing a first dance, were just going get up and do the little sway thing – but I think the people at the wedding will expect us to do something.”
Back in March 2015, as Herjavec was competing on Dancing With the Stars and before his relationship with Johnson was revealed, he told People he was in the midst of a difficult divorce from his wife of more than two decades, with whom he has three children.
“We were great parents and a great team, but over time we drifted apart.”
During this time, Herjavec worked with the Union Gospel Mission in Seattle to distribute food to people in order to gain some perspective.
Johnson and Herjavec’s chemistry was obvious to Dancing With the Stars viewers, but the couple remained coy about their relationship status off-screen until the show had long concluded. As The Inquisitr previously reported, they announced their engagement this Spring. This is the first marriage for Kym Johnson.
Both Shark Tank and Dancing With the Stars are expected to return this fall. While Herjavec will continue in his role as shark, Johnson’s status on DWTS is yet to be determined.
