Victoria Justice Reveals Her Teen Crush Ahead Of The Teen Choice Awards

Victoria Justice is hosting the Teen Choice Awards tonight at 8 p.m. ET on FOX, and the former Victorious star prepared for the event by doing plenty of press. Justice was quizzed about her outfits and the celebs she’s excited about meeting, and the 23-year-old actress was also asked to revisit her teenage years by recalling her teen crush.

During an interview with E! News, Victoria Justice was asked to reveal which celebrity heartthrob’s photos were plastered on her wall when she was younger, and she had a hard time remembering who she was crushing on as a teen.

“Who was my teen crush?” she asked herself. “I remember really liking Aaron Carter at a certain point. I’m not sure if I was a teenager then.”

As Complex reports, 28-year-old Aaron Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, put out a triple-platinum album in 2000. The then-13-year-old pop star dated Hilary Duff and toured with Britney Spears at the height of his career, which peaked around the time Victoria Justice was 7-years-old. Once upon a time, Aaron Carter would have been one of the biggest stars at the Teen Choice Awards, but now he’s struggling to get his career back on track after filing for bankruptcy in 2013.

These days, Victoria Justice is more into grown-up boy band members, not their younger brothers. During an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, she revealed that she’s hoping to convince NSYNC band member Justin Timberlake to take a photo with her tonight. As Just Jared reports, the singer is going to be at the Teen Choice Awards to accept the Decade Award from retired NBA star Kobe Bryant.

“I’d love to meet Justin Timberlake and get a picture with him,” Justice said.

According to the actress, she has only taken one picture with the “Can’t Stop the Feeling” singer, and she almost missed out on that opportunity because of Justin’s overprotective publicist.

“Actually I met him when I was like 12 or 13 at the Shrek premiere,” Justice revealed. “I asked to take a picture with him and his publicist was like, ‘No,’ but he saw me ask and was like, ‘No, no, it’s OK, I’ll do it.’ It would be cool to get another one so many years later.”

Surely, Justin Timberlake won’t turn down a photo request from one of the hosts of the show that he’s receiving an award from.

Victoria Justice will be joined by co-host John Cena tonight. Both stars scored their Teen Choice gigs because they’re involved in FOX projects: Cena hosts the reality competition American Grit, and Justice is set to star as Janet in the network’s remake of the 1975 cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. She’ll be playing Susan Sarandon’s character, Janet.

Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox will be stepping into the sexy stilettos of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, an alien mad scientist who describes himself as a “sweet transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania.” The role was originally played by Tim Curry, who is also starring in the TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. According to Rolling Stone, he will play the part of the criminologist narrator.

During an interview with EXTRA, Victoria Justice revealed that Tim Curry and Mick Jagger are the two celebrities who she was the most starstruck on first time she met them (sorry, Justin Timberlake).

“I’ve been such a fan of that movie, and he’s incredible,” Justice said of getting to work with Curry.

According to Victoria Justice, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has something in common with the Teen Choice Awards: She gets to rock multiple outfits to fulfill her role as Janet and as the host of the awards show. Justice told Teen Vogue that her favorite Rocky Horror costume is the one Janet wears when she goes through her sexual awakening, so be sure to watch for that one when the TV movie airs October 20 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
