‘Bachelorette’: Finalist Jordan Rodgers Doesn’t Speak To Brother And NFL Star Aaron Rodgers?

Jordan Rodgers is not only one of the Bachelorette finalists, he’s also the brother of famed NFL star Aaron Rodgers. In the course of the Bachelorette season, it has become clear that Jordan has very little to do with his brother. Not only that, it seems that the family doesn’t even speak to him. What’s up with that?

WISN-TV in Milwaukee recently asked Green Bay Packer Aaron about Jordan’s comment on a recent episode of The Bachelorette that his relationship with his brother is “complicated.” Here’s what he said.

“I haven’t seen the show, to be honest with you, so it hasn’t really affected me a whole lot… As far as those kinds of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters, so I’m just — I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition.”

The Bachelorette finalist has not revealed the reason for the rift, and during the recent hometown visit, the Rodgers acknowledged the problem, but didn’t expand on the reasons for it. As Us Weekly reported, brother Luke commented during a recent episode of The Bachelorette.

“It pains both of us, like, not to have that relationship [with Aaron] – we miss our brother. I trust that God brings things full circle and that everything would just get back to us being a family.”

As a star of The Bachelorette, Jordan is under a lot of scrutiny. Aaron seems to want to take the high road on this, choosing to keep family problems private, but viewers are eager to know what’s going on. Sports gossip site Terez Owens did some digging and came up with a couple of possible explanations.

The first is something that happened long before Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher entered the picture. Sources say that about a year ago, a friend of both Aaron and Luke got married. Aaron was supposed to be a groomsman but didn’t show up. Luke took to Instagram to post a collage of photos of the wedding. It included hashtags like #realfriendsshowup and #neverfogetwhereyoucamefrom. It sounds like the family that may become Bachelorette JoJo’s in-laws believes that Aaron has let his success and fame go to his head. Kind of ironic given that many people have accused Bachelorette finalist Jordan of using his brother’s name to get himself in the spotlight and make a name for himself. Some have even accused him of using JoJo and The Bachelorette for selfish reasons, to get himself in the public eye, not because he’s in love with her.

So that’s one theory on why Bachelorette finalist Jordan Rodgers and his family don’t speak to Aaron, but there’s one more. This one has to do with Aaron’s wife, Olivia Munn. Also before Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher came into the picture, Munn talked quite openly about her sex life with Aaron. It seems that this upset the rest of the Rodgers clan. Many Green Bay Packers fans have noticed that Bachelorette finalist Jordan and his family have not been attending games that Olivia attends. Also of note is that Aaron has unfollowed both of his brothers on Twitter.

Whether the wedding, Olivia’s openness about her sex life, or some other issue in the family, one of The Bachelorette‘s finalist has some family issues. But don’t most family’s have issues? Will it make a difference in her choice? And what about fan theories that Jordan is just using The Bachelorette to make a name for himself that he can capitalize on once the show is over? Time will tell on both.

The Bachelorette airs on ABC on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
