‘Game Of Thrones’ Predictions: Characters Who Will Most Probably Die In Season 7 [Spoilers]

Game of Thrones Season 7 is still a year away, but fans of the HBO hit TV series are craving for any information they can get their hands on until its premiere in Summer 2017.

After ending Season 6 with so many characters biting the dust, fans mostly expect Game of Thrones showrunners to bring them more gruesome, jaw-dropping deaths this coming season which was confirmed by the two-minute in-production teaser for the show.

With that in mind, several media outlets like Movie Pilot are already placing their bets on who will die in battle to claim the Iron Throne, and some of them are major, recurring characters since the beginning of the show.

Warning for those who have yet to watch previous seasons and who do not wish to read spoilers, this is your chance to look away. Here are five Game of Thrones characters with the highest chances of being killed in Season 7.

  1. Ellaria Sand

Ellaria Sand and her band of Sand Snakes are close to their deaths because the only reason why they remained alive to see the next season is because Game of Thrones showrunners decided not to focus airtime to them in Season 6.

After devising a way to kill Cersei Lannister’s only daughter, the Sand Snakes is expected to bite the dust as soon as the current Queen of the Andals begins her reign. After all, Cersei is one Game of Thrones character who never lets such a thing slip without getting vengeance.

  1. Cersei Lannister

In Season 6, Cersei Lannister was crowned the Queen of the Andals and was allowed to sit on the Iron Throne after she masterminded the death of those who oppose her. And with Tommen taking his own life, she ended up taking the Throne for herself.

As Game of Thrones history dictates, those who sit on the Iron Throne are expected to have a shortened lifespan especially at a time when a massive fleet is coming to Westeros led by the Mother of Dragons.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Lena Headey, the actress playing Cersei, confirmed that her reign as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms will be far from peaceful or pleasant.

“Not a chance in hell. It’s a moment of punctuation in the madness.”

Does this mean she will turn into the Mad Queen? It certainly points to that considering how she embraced her burning rage and turned it into a weapon to destroy her enemies.

And with madness comes demise from the hand of the person she love most as fan theories indicate that Jaime Lannister, who have apparently turned honorable over the course of six seasons, will fulfill the prophecy of her death by the hand of a “little brother.”

  1. Ser Davos Seaworth

Movie Pilot believes that honorable men like Ser Davos Seaworth would most likely have a short life in the Game of Thrones.

There is some weight of truth to this theory considering how our beloved Ned Stark lost his head so early in the show because he showed mercy and maintained honor during his stay as the Hand of the King for Robert Baratheon.

  1. Tormund

Remember that bearded fellow from North of the Wall who has followed and pledged his loyalty to Jon Snow? That guy is supposed to be dead by now.

According to Movie Pilot, Tormund the Wildling is “on borrowed time.” There were many instances in Season 6 where he was supposed to bite the dust including the battle with the White Walkers as well as the highly watched “Battle of the Bastards.”

But for some reason, Game of Thrones showrunners decided not to let him be killed. Movie Pilot speculates that this may be because fans were intrigued at how he and Brienne of Tarth shared a significant eye-to-eye contact that may make the beefed-up Lady of Tarth want to lose her virginity.

  1. Petyr “Little Finger” Baelish

While it is true that Little Finger outsmarted most of the people in Westeros, there is proof that he has a weakness that could deliver him his death: his love for red-headed women.

Movie Pilot believes that Lord Baelish will only be presented with two paths to cross in Season 7 including one that leads him to ultimate victory and another that could ultimately make him meet his maker.
