Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly reconciled their marriage after months of divorce reports.
According to a new report, the superstar couple is back on and going strong, and after making their relationship work, they have allegedly decided to expand their family by adding a seventh child into their brood.
“They’re celebrating saving their marriage with the best present possible: a seventh child,” a close friend of the couple revealed to In Touch Weekly, according to a report by Hollywood Life on July 27. “Now that the divorce is off and they’re back on track, they feel adopting another child will strengthen their relationship even more.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are currently parents to six children, three of whom they adopted from other countries, 14-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, 12-year-old Pax from Vietnam, and 11-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia, and three of whom they welcomed naturally, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
“[Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie] are putting the wheels in motion to adopt an older child from South Africa, Burundi, or Ethiopia, where Zahara was born,” explained the source. “They initially wanted to adopt from a more war-torn region in the Middle East, but the adoption process is much more difficult in those areas.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship began on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith when Pitt was still married to his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, and in 2005, they went public during an outing with Maddox in Kenya. Although Jolie was the one who adopted Maddox years ago, Pitt eventually became the child’s adoptive father.
According to In Touch Weekly‘s source, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning to adopt a child who is close in age to their six children, who range in ages from 8 to 14.
“[Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie] feel that by adopting a child who is 10 or older, he or she will mix in better with their rambunctious kids, who are getting bigger by the day,” the insider dished. “[Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie] also believe that adopting an older child will make people aware of orphans who are often overlooked.”

As for how Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s kids feel about the idea of welcoming another sibling into their family, the magazine source claimed they were totally on board and excited to have another playmate.
“The kids can’t wait to add another brother or sister to their gang of six,” the insider added. “Right now [Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie] are leaning toward adopting a boy. But truthfully, they’d be happy with any addition. Brad’s always said he wanted enough kids for a soccer team — and he’s getting his wish!”
For the past several months, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have faced rumor after rumor in regard to their allegedly impending divorce, most of which have involved Pitt’s rumored relationship with his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard. Earlier this year, as filming on the World War II flick began in London, rumors began swirling which claimed Pitt had grown close to Cotillard behind his wife’s back.
