Happy Birthday Prince George: Images Of Kate Middleton’s Baby Released Playing With Family Pet

It’s been approximately five years since Kate Middleton married Prince William, and now it’s time for their son Prince George’s 3rd birthday. Images surfaced recently of little Prince George playing in the garden and having some quality bonding time with the family pet. The images are apparently something of a tradition, as USA Today mentions that Kate and William released photos of Princess Charlotte on her first birthday back in may.

File these photos under “if this isn’t totally adorable to you, you have no soul.” The prince looks very grown up in a blue sailor shirt and shorts as he plays with the family’s dog. For someone who will rule a Kingdom one day, he looks very low-stress.

The pictures seem to have been done professionally, which is really no surprise. Despite the high-profile pics, Kate and William stated their wishes that they celebrate the Prince’s birthday in privacy. That hasn’t stopped social media users from blowing up Instagram over the pictures, though. Thousands commented their approval, wishing Prince George happy birthday and singing his praises.

Some of the other photos show Prince George out in public with his regal mommy and daddy, as well as the future king totally having a very endearing finger-sucking moment. And how about that awesome swing engraving? Hello Magazine learned that the royal swing was a wedding gift for George’s powerful parents from a business called the Oak & Rope Company in Kent. Appropriate, no?

Prince George’s family is really a fairy tale in and of itself. His mother, Kate Middleton, came from a working-class family before marrying into the royal family. People were astounded at the Duchess and Prince’s very much extravagant wedding, and it seems George is experiencing the same luxuries based on his birthday photos.

Another of the photos shows little Georgie standing in front of Buckingham Palace, accompanied by Her Royal Majesty Queen Elisabeth, his sister Princess Charlotte, and their parents. The Duchess of Cambridge looks positively amazed and elated as she holds her little Princess, while Prince George looks off into the distance. The picture shows everyone looking on at the Trooping The Colour ceremony, whose day is designated as the Monarch’s “official birthday.”

Everybody kept mum about what gifts George got for his 3rd Birthday, but Prince William joked that his son was “way too spoil[ed]” and got too many gifts, as the Sunday Times found. The elder Prince would not go into detail about what exactly his son got, but we’re pretty sure George made out okay. The Inquisitr did mention that the Prince got a rocking horse as a gift from President Barack Obama.

George was originally born in Paddington, a region that is part of central London, on July 22, 2013. At the moment, he is third in line for the throne, behind father Prince William and grandfather Charles, Prince of Wales. His sister, Charlotte, is 2 years younger than him and thus fourth in line for the throne. George’s father is also the Duke of Cambridge, and holds several other titles including a knightly rank called the Order of The Garter. Not a bad family tree to come from!

With all that royal pedigree going on, George is already quite a big deal just by being born. His official title is His Royal Highness, Prince George of Cambridge. And to think he probably has no idea yet! For now, he’s living as close to a ‘normal’ life as a boy-who-will-be-King can have. Let us know what you think of the Prince’s birthday pictures.
