Clint Eastwood Calls Mitt Romney’s Campaign Organizers ‘Dumb’

Clint Eastwood may have been the guy talking to a fake Barack Obama in an empty chair but the famed actor and director is calling Mitt Romney and his campaign staff the real “dump” people in the situation.

After his Republican National Convention speech went viral Eastwood and the GOP took a lot of slack for his attack on the President. However in an interview with Extra‘s Jerry Penacoli the famed director reveals:

“If somebody’s dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re gonna have to take what they get.”

Before that statement Clint Eastwood refused to admit that his empty chair speech was a complete trainwreck that had no place at the RNC.

While Eastwood says he was simply trying to express how he would directly confront President Obama was in the room he now admits that the premise behind his one-man show was misdirected. According to Clint:

“I never look backward. It’s done and it’s done. I probably would. I wouldn’t be afraid of it.”

In case you are the last American on the planet to have missed the Clint Eastwood RNC talk here it is:

We will likely never receive a full explanation of his actions, given his age I honestly don’t feel that Clint Eastwood cares what people think or will spend his free time defending his strange actions.

In the meantime even Mitt Romney’s own aides have admitted to being confused by Eastwood’s RNC speech.
