Did Keshia Knight Pulliam Try To Save Her Marriage With Baby Bump Photo?

Keshia Knight Pulliam’s happy pregnancy announcement has hit a bump. The 37-year-old former Cosby Show star, who just last week announced that she is pregnant with her first child, has been slapped with divorce papers from Ed Hartwell, her husband of seven months. And to make matters worse, Hartwell wants Pulliam to take a paternity test to find out if he’s really the father, according to The YBF.

“Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby,” Ed Hartwell told The YBF in a statement delivered via his rep.

Keshia Knight Pulliam reportedly has no problem taking the test because she has nothing to hide. A source close to Keshia told TMZ that the former child star has been “100 percent faithful” to Ed, whom she married in a surprise ceremony in their living room last New Year’s Eve.

The source says Pulliam has no idea why Hartwell would question whether he is the baby’s father and revealed she is angry that he rushed to court to file divorce papers just days after she announced that she is pregnant with his child.

Keshia reportedly wanted to try to work things out in her shaky marriage because her parents have been together for almost 40 years, and now it seems that her pregnancy announcement may have been a last-ditch effort to try to get her unhappy hubby to come around.

Indeed, many people are questioning why Hartwell would file for divorce from his pregnant wife. According to People, the marriage has been on the rocks for a while, and now the former NFL star is concerned about the timing of Keshia’s pregnancy, although he “doesn’t have any evidence of her cheating.”

Keshia Knight Pulliam announced her pregnancy during a rough patch in her marriage. A source revealed to People that Ed wanted to hold off on having kids with Keshia because things were so rocky, and once she became pregnant, he also told Keshia not to release a baby bump photo so soon, but she did it anyway.

“It’s just that he had told her he wanted to wait before having a baby and things got really bad between them and then she pops up pregnant,” the insider told People. “He even told her he didn’t want to release the bump picture so soon, but she did it anyway.”

Even though they are married, Hartwell just wants to make sure he still “covers his bases and gets everything checked out” regarding Pulliam’s pregnancy.

Keshia Knight Pulliam happily announced her pregnancy last week via Instagram.

“Surprise!!! We have a new addition coming soon!” Keshia captioned a pic. In the photo, she is holding a pink frosted cupcake, teasing that she is expecting a girl.

Kehisa Knight Pulliam confirmed the news with several baby bump photos and the actress also talked about her bun in the oven on her Kandidly Keshia podcast, according to Us Weekly.

“She is so spoiled already!” Keshia said of her baby girl. Pulliam said her child came to her in a dream over a year ago and she could clearly see the little girl’s face. Pulliam says she “knew” she was going to have a little girl as soon as she found out she was pregnant.

Sadly, Keshia’s prenatal party was cut short when Hartwell filed court papers in Fulton County, Georgia, earlier this week. While this will be Keshia Knight Pulliam’s fist child, her estranged husband shares a 9-year-old son with his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu.
