‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Begins With ‘Steroline’ – Will Stefan And Caroline Make It To The End? [Spoilers]

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will be the last and fans understand why, but are still a little sad about the series ending. Through the years, the characters have had different relationships. One couple that viewers loved was Stefan and Caroline, known to shippers as “Steroline.” What can be expected from these two when the show returns? According to one actor, the season premiere will have a hot and steamy Steroline moment. However, will this couple last until the end, or will something come between them?

Last season on The Vampire Diaries, Caroline Forbes (Candice King) was with Alaric (Matt Davis). She had been hurt by her ex-boyfriend, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and fans were not sure if she would ever get over it. However, she could not deny her true feelings for Stefan when entering the Armory’s vault. It was a dangerous situation, and even Alaric knew Caroline needed to follow her heart.

Paul Wesley recently spoke about the Season 8 premiere of The Vampire Diaries and Steroline’s relationship. Fans who love Stefan and Caroline together will enjoy what is coming up when The Vampire Diaries returns.

“We’re only on Episode 1, that’s the only thing I’ve read so far,” Wesley teased to Zap2It regarding Stefan and Caroline, “and it’s hot and steamy right from the get-go.”

However, will things stay good between Steroline? As previously reported by The Inquisitr, another woman may get between the couple. It was teased that somebody is interested in Stefan Salvatore and could use extreme methods to get what she wants. After everything the couple has been through, would TVD writers really break them apart again? If Stefan and Caroline go through another huge issue, would they survive?

According to CW33, Candice King confirmed that Steroline is together when the series begins. However, the actress also teased that it would not be all roses. The couple will go through difficult situations, but will these predicaments make them stronger as a couple? Or will it completely break them apart?

Other spoilers for The Vampire Diaries Season 8 include the mystery monster forcing Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) to do things they don’t want to do. This seems to indicate that they are not “completely gone” like some TVD fans initially thought. However, the ending of the Season 7 finale implied that the two missing vampires were not themselves at all. They appeared to be completely evil and lacked remorse.

As viewers recall, Damon and Enzo were kidnapping people along the West coast. It was reported on the news that more than 60 people were missing. This gave Stefan, Caroline, Alaric, and Bonnie (Kat Graham) a way to track their location. Since Bonnie no longer has her magic, the group was using maps to try to locate Damon and Enzo. However, what will they do once they find the vampires? It is a dangerous situation, and as fans saw in the season finale, bodies were hanging in a warehouse. It is clear they feel no guilt, and let’s not get started on that creepy smile on Damon’s face.

According to Collider, there will only be 16 episodes this season, which means there will be more room for empty fluff. It was also reported that Nina Dobrev will return, but how and exactly when is unknown.

Nobody knows how The Vampire Diaries will end. Since Season 8 is the last, fans are hoping that all the characters can be happy. Will they have good endings, or will fans be upset over how TVD ends? Fans will just have to wait to find out.

The Vampire Diaries returns this fall on The CW network.
