Emily Blunt Handles Baby Care As John Krasinski Releases ‘The Hollars’ Trailer

Emily Blunt had her second baby girl just over a month ago, which means that she is still in maternal mode. So it was no surprise when Girl on the Train actress emerged in Studio City juggling her eldest daughter Hazel and some errands as her husband John Krasinski prepared to release The Hollars trailer.

The 33-year-old actress is known for jumping right into work after having a baby. When she gave birth to her first child Hazel two years ago, she immediately took up training for Edge of Tomorrow, changing her post-baby body into an action figure.

But this time around, she took things a little slower as she concentrated on more domestic and maternal activities.

Last week, Emily was caught “her hands full with two-year-old daughter Hazel and belongings while out in Studio City,” reports Daily Mail.

“The Into The Woods actress flexed her mom muscles as she enjoyed the bonding lunch outing with her eldest child. Emily looked to be in fantastic shape for just giving birth to second daughter Violet just a month ago. Along with carrying her daughter, Emily put on a juggling act as she also lugged around a towel, denim jacket and large brown leather designer bag.”

But that doesn’t mean that she has completely let her career go. Just a week ago, the movie studios released the trailer for her next big movie, Girl on the Train, where Emily Blunt stretches her acting abilities.

Girl on the Train is a psychological thriller that involves a recently divorced woman “who witnesses something strange happen on the night that a woman she sees every day from the window of her commuter train — Megan Hipwell (Haley Bennett) — is murdered,” according to TIME.

The release date for this autumn thriller is October, which means that she has the rest of the summer to spend time with Hazel and Violet.

John Krasinski, who has been a great support to his family ever since Emily had Hazel two years ago, is now exercising his artistic drive in his second directorial project, The Hollars.

The story “revolves around a New York City artist returning to his small-town home after his mother is diagnosed with a brain tumor,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

In the trailer, John finds himself navigating his dysfunctional family as well as his recently pregnant girlfriend played by Anna Kendrick.

Before the trailer got released, John could hardly keep his excitement to himself.

Last time John Krasinski shared some big news on his Twitter was when Emily had their second child.

“What better way to celebrate the 4th… than to announce our 4th family member!!!” John tweeted. “2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th.”

After getting the word out, Emily promptly returned to normal day-to-day life. Just days after the tweet, she was seen running errands. People noted how great she looked after just giving birth, showing her know-how in pairing the right elements to make sure that it flattered her figure. According to In Style Magazine, the new mother of two “was spotted running errands in Los Angeles over the weekend, where she looked casual chic in a flowing dusty pink T-shirt and Citizens of Humanity raw hem skinny maternity jeans ($218; apeainapod.com).”

Knowing just how much the British actress is invested in her career, Girl on the Train isn’t the only project that she has coming up. Her next big profile project is Mary Poppins, where she will play the title character alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Walt Disney Studios announced on Tuesday that Into the Woods star Emily Blunt would be taking over the part of the famous nanny in a sequel to the 1964 classic film, confirming the British actor’s long-heralded involvement,” reports the Guardian. “She was said to be the producers’ first choice. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will also star as a new character, Jack, the street lamplighter.”
