Cara Delevingne has admitted that in order to prepare for her role in Suicide Squad she decided to get naked and then run around a forest.
The English model made this revelation during her appearance on Conan O’Brien’s Live From Comic-Con episode, which saw her sit alongside her Suicide Squad cast members Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, and Adam Beach.
During their chat Conan O’Brien asked Cara Delevingne about the bizarre preparation method that she underwent for her role of Enchantress in the blockbuster. And it turns out that her nude prep for the film was the suggestion of writer and director David Ayer, who had numerous ideas for how Delevingne should get into character.
Delevingne explained, “One of them was that, ‘If you ever find yourself in a forest, hopefully it will be a full moon, and get naked and just… be out there for as long as possible.’ Okay, cool. So, if I ever find myself in a forest and there’s a full moon I’ll do that, David.”

This then led Delevingne to add, “Funny enough, I found myself in a forest with a full moon. And I was like, ‘F***, what am I going to do? I’m just gonna get naked.’ I did. Luckily, no one was there.”
Cara Delevingne wasn’t the only actor to go to such great lengths for her part in Suicide Squad. It’s been well documented that Jared Leto, who plays the Joker in the upcoming blockbuster, sent out a variety of gifts to his co-stars. But he sent them as the sadistic villain, which meant that they were rather disgusting.
During the Suicide Squad panel at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, Will Smith recalled one of the traumatic experiences from the set of the film, which saw Jared Leto sending a gift to Margot Robbie.
“This dude walks in and goes I have a message from Mr. J. And he puts a box down in front of Margot being like this is a gift from Mr. J in honor of your relationship,” recalled Smith, via Time. “Margot starts to open the box, and there’s a note from the Joker. And I was like, ‘That’s cool. That’s funny. Jared is like taking it real serious.’ And Margo opened the box and there was a live rat in the box. I was playing Deadshot, but if I had pearls on I would have clutched them.”

Will Smith admitted that David Ayer pushed each of his actors to mental extremes so that they could add a psychological edge to their characters.
“We all shared really deep stories about ourselves and our pains and our triumphs,” Smith remarked. “And then on set you thought he was being a nice guy you were trying to share your life, and then in the middle of a scene he throws your childhood trauma back at you and says, ‘Dude, the Joker did it.'”
Will Smith also revealed that his role as Deadshot in Suicide Squad means that he now has more credibility amongst his children because of his work on the film.
“No matter how cool you think you are, your kids think you suck,” Smith added. “So this is like the first time where I’m cool for real. My kids are doing what I say for the next couple of months, but it’s a really good look.”
