Wikileaks has revealed a shocking series of emails that indicates that the Democratic National Committee was not only undermining Bernie Sanders as a viable contender in the Democratic presidential race, but may have even had Hillary Clinton moles inside of the Bernie organization. The party's rules require that all Democratic National Committee officers remain neutral in presidential primaries. However, as the DNC Wikileaks emails reveal, the officers seemed anything but neutral as they discussed ways to increase criticism of Sanders while increasing support for Clinton.
#DNCLeak: Comms director instructs DNC to covertly spread anti-@BernieSanders article https://t.co/zgjC2qLwTr pic.twitter.com/ulwq05MgYWThe Huffington Post reports that emails obtained by Wikileaks show that the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders. One email that has been harshly criticized is one sent between DNC communications director Luis Miranda and another party official which suggests looking into Bernie's faith as a means to discredit him. The email indicates that Sanders may be atheist, and that he often defaults to his Jewish heritage. Therefore, it is suggested that the DNC should have someone ask him if he believes in God. The idea is that he would have to reveal he is atheist, and it could hurt him with at least the Southern Baptists in West Virginia and Kentucky.

"It might may [sic] no difference, but for KY and WVA can we get someone to ask his [beliefs]. Does he believe in a God. He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps. My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist."

Another, perhaps more startling email, indicates that the DNC may have had Hillary Clinton moles inside of the Bernie campaign that was feeding them information about events taking place in Alaska.

Hillary had moles in the Sanders campaign???? pic.twitter.com/gJ4oPDLUehThe email was titled "Alaska 'Counter' Event," and detailed concerns over an elusive event taking place in Alaska to counter an appearance by Wasserman Schultz. The email indicated that the DNC did not know about the counter event and wanted more information. However, with little information about the event online, the DNC officials pressed Alaska Democratic Party executive director Kay Brown to provide insider information from individuals she knew from within the Sanders campaign.

"There's no way Kay doesn't have someone who can get her intel. We need to push them."Bernie Sanders supporters have long feared that the DNC was not on their side and that the committee was pushing for a Hillary Clinton ticket at all costs. According to i24News, the revelation that the DNC may have had insiders in the Bernie campaign is the smoking gun they have been looking for regarding conspiracy theories of a rigged Democratic election.

Until the Wikileaks data dump regarding the DNC emails, there was no solid proof of the conspiracies. However, with nearly 20,000 emails leaked to the public, the situation for the DNC is looking pretty bad. Though the DNC is remaining mum on the issue, Bernie Sanders supporters aren't sitting by waiting for a response. Instead, Bernie supporters have started a new campaign stating that "Bernie must disavow" his Hillary Clinton endorsement following the shocking Wikileaks emails.
What do you think about the latest Wikileaks dump? Do you think the DNC will respond to claims that they violated DNC policy by pushing for Hillary Clinton while trying to take down Sanders?
