‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: From Rape To True Love — Caroline Admits She Loves Thomas? Ridge To End His Marriage This week

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) head writer Bradley Bell sat down with the TV Insider and spoke at length about Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and Thomas (Pierson Fode) Forrester’s sex scene that could be interpreted as rape. It has been a hot topic on many blogs and social media platforms, and the fans seem divided on the issue.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers hinted that Caroline was upset about her marriage being over when Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) told her that he couldn’t have any more children. She was heartbroken because she loved Ridge with her whole heart. Devastated, she goes to a friend (Thomas) for comfort. Caroline had hoped that he would have words of wisdom for her. Instead, the Bold and the Beautiful fans interpreted the scene as Thomas taking advantage of Caroline — viewers felt she was raped.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans watched in horror as it was apparent that Caroline had not only taken a few anti-anxiety pills, but was drinking wine. She was not thinking clearly, and could not make the decision to make love to Thomas. He took her silence as a yes, when everyone knows that she would have never agreed to have sex with him in normal circumstances — she was in love with his father.

“We were careful to write it so that the audience knew Caroline had taken a pill and was a bit out of it, but Thomas did not know about that pill. Caroline was kissing him back. It was very much a give and take. Thomas thought the sex with Caroline was entirely consensual and beautiful and that it was the culmination of their love for one another. He didn’t know what the audience knew. He was shocked the next morning when she woke up to have this adverse reaction.”

This week on the Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge decides that he will step back and allow Thomas and Caroline to explore their relationship. He believes that he is doing the right thing for Douglas. Soap Opera Digest reports that he didn’t make this decision lightly, and secretly hopes that Caroline will come back to him after she realizes that she doesn’t (really) love Thomas.

” Ridge is trying to do the right thing by her. It’s not that he has fallen out of love with her. He’s not over her in any way. He’s not scared of the secret coming out anymore. I honestly believe he just wants to do the right thing for Douglas here.”

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Caroline will admit to Ridge that she does have feelings for Thomas, and is confused about how she feels. She finally said that Thomas did not take advantage of her that night, and she wanted to have sex with him, too. The new little tidbit was a blow to Ridge, and he was forced to make a devastating decision about his marriage.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers hint that Caroline will be left feeling hurt and upset about her marriage ending, but will come to realize it was for the best.

For over a year, the Bold and the Beautiful fans have argued whether Thomas raped Caroline that night, and it looks like we finally have our answer–she wanted it to happen. What happens next in this complicated love triangle between Ridge, Thomas and Caroline is anyone’s guess, especially considering Rick and Bill are dying to expose Ridge’s paternity secret to the world.
