Fergie Admits Taylor Swift & Kim Kardashian’s Feud May Be A Publicity Stunt

Fergie is hinting that Taylor Swift’s recent drama with Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West could be nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Fergie, who recently asked Kardashian to star alongside her in her “M.I.L.F $” music video, made the surprising admission about Swift, West and Kardashian’s feud in a July 21 interview with Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show, suggesting the group could actually have planned all the drama as an elaborate publicity stunt.

According to Us Weekly, Fergie admitted during a phone interview with the radio show that the group could potentially reconcile soon in a big way, suggesting their feud was actually all part of a “master plan” to get some serious press coverage.

“Knowing them, it’s probably a big master plan,” Fergie admitted on the Australian radio show of Taylor, Kim and Kanye. “They’ll probably all come together at the MTV Awards or something.”

Fergie then went on to hint that she’s actually on Team Kim amid the Taylor drama, whether it be a publicity stunt or not, by telling the Australian radio hosts that she actually “respects” Kardashian for standing behind her husband and leaking the Taylor footage to defend him.

“You’ve got to respect her for sticking up for her husband,” Fergie said of Kim.

But while Fergie’s claims are all speculation right now, it turns out that more than a few fans and publications are following Fergie’s lead when it comes to the possibility of the recent drama between West, Kardashian and Swift being nothing more than a big publicity stunt.

Cosmopolitan weighed in on Fergie’s claims, noting that Swift and the entire Kardashian family are no strangers to manipulating the media with a publicity stunt every now and again.

“If Fergie’s right, this would be an exceptionally intricate conspiracy even for Kimye, but history has proven that the Kardashians are capable of C.I.A.-level machinations,” Cosmopolitan speculated following Fergie’s Kim publicity stunt confession.

The site was also quick to point out that both Kim and Kanye were in possession of the clip showing that Taylor gave her approval on West’s controversial song “Famous” for almost six months before Kardashian leaked the footage to the world via Snapchat on July 17.

“Kim sat on that video for at least five months, so it’s highly unlikely she just decided to drop it out of the blue last Sunday,” the site speculated following Fergie’s claims. “Only time will tell if Fergie’s right.”

But it’s not just Cosmopolitan who are speculating about Fergie’s Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift and Kanye West publicity stunt confession.

A number of social media users also took to Twitter to accuse Kim, Taylor and Kanye of using the drama as a way to attract attention.

“I feel like Kim and Taylor are partners on this publicity stunt and it’s working. They’re celebrating over tea with Kanye,” @AnnLouieLi tweeted out, while Twitter user @xowenm wrote on the social media site, “Mark my words this whole Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian thing is a publicity stunt and then were all gonna feel dumb and ugly.”

“This Taylor vs Kim/Ye drama is a publicity stunt they are all in on. Taylor wants hype/material for her album. Kim/Ye just like publicity,” @ferg_official wrote, and @stickycabello tweeted, “Everything is a publicity stunt. Taylor, Kim and Kanye know what to do. They are all getting $$$ because of this.”

But while Fergie and fans continue to speculate about the possibility of the Kanye, Kim and Taylor feud being nothing but a publicity stunt, Gossip Cop is shooting down the claims.

The site reported that, despite Fergie’s recent remarks, “Swift is most definitely not in cahoots with Kardashian and West right now.”

Gossip Cop also claimed that Fergie’s comments on The Kylie and Jackie O Show are “baseless” and were nothing but speculation on Fergie’s part.

What do you think of Fergie’s recent claims suggesting that Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s feud could potentially be a publicity stunt?
