‘Teen Mom OG’ Farrah Abraham Wants MTV To Fire Dr. Drew

Teen Mom OG Farrah Abraham has made it clear she does not tolerate jokes regarding violence and choking or strangling people anymore. During an interview, Dr. Drew Pinsky, the host of the Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom OG reunion episodes, was asked which cast member from the entire Teen Mom franchise he was most likely to strangle. In a joking manner, his response was Farrah Abraham.

In response to Dr. Drew’s joke about strangling Farrah Abraham, she has told People Magazine she does not believe in joking about violence. Farrah claims she does not feel as though she can trust this man anymore. She goes on to say this is a man who had previously been a mentor for this single 25-year-old mother. Farrah believes joking about violence killed Dr. Drew’s credibility. She even questions whether or not he should continue to be a host for the reunion show after making such a joke.

“It just made me feel like I couldn’t look at him as a professional as much as I did or look up to him as much as I did.”

It was earlier this month that Radar Online revealed that Dr. Drew said Farrah Abraham was the cast member he was most likely to strangle out of all the Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 stars.

“She’s not awful. She’s frustrating. She’s not awful. She suffers,” Dr. Drew explained. “I feel bad for her a lot. But she can be very frustrating.”

Dr. Drew went on to talk about Farrah Abraham’s choice to pursue a career in the adult industry.

“[The adult industry is] her job. She [Farrah] has embraced it. It’s what she’s going to do. She doesn’t have other skills or training. She has a mom that encourages to do that stuff. And a dad who’s ambivalent about it and has had a tough time herself. Then, she was lead in by people she trusted and feels like she was exploited. She’s trying to navigate the world she lives in. I feel bad for her.”

Enstarz reported that MTV has not said anything regarding the issue that would cause Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 fans to believe Dr. Drew’s position as the host of the reunion episodes was in jeopardy. However, Farrah Abraham did make it clear that she would not mind being able to sit next to a new and different host at the next Teen Mom OG reunion.

During the interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Farrah Abraham was also asked for her response to the backlash she was receiving from Teen Mom OG fans in response to her “semi-inappropriate” modeling shots of her 7-year-old daughter. Farrah talks about how there are tons of children models and so many people love her daughter’s pictures. She believes because she is a cast member of Teen Mom OG she is getting a lot of criticism for things someone not on the show likely wouldn’t get criticized for.

The Teen Mom OG star goes on to talk about how amazing her daughter is doing with her modeling and that she couldn’t be more proud of her daughter.

“She’s opening up her own children’s boutique, we’re selling clothing. So the more pictures and more she’s in a positive light and happy with what she’s doing, there’s nothing wrong with embracing how awesome Sophia is.”

Do you think Farrah Abraham and the other moms from the Teen Mom franchise get dished a lot more criticism just because they are on the show? More importantly, do you think Farrah was right to say Dr. Drew should be removed as the host of the reunion episodes after the joke he made regarding violence?
