Peta Murgatroyd Baby Bump: ‘DWTS’ Pro Debuts Growing Belly, Teases Baby’s Sex

Peta Murgatroyd showed off her baby bump four months into her pregnancy and teased the sex of her baby on social media. The Dancing With The Stars pro and her dancing fiancé, Maks Chmerkovskiy, recently announced that they are expecting their first child together, several weeks after the news first leaked online.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the baby news was actually spilled by DWTS co-host Erin Andrews, who reportedly congratulated the couple on the DWTS finale while her mic was still on. Anyone within earshot of a speaker heard the news, and reports were published online minutes later. Sources say that Peta and Maks were super unhappy with Erin, as they hadn’t even told some of their family members at that time.

Since then, however, Peta Murgatroyd’s baby bump has been growing, and she has not been the least bit shy about showing it off. Her Instagram is filled with pictures of baby-related things, including a newer picture of Maks holding a pair of baby shoes. Fans immediately thought that the couple was announcing that they are expecting a boy because the shoes appear to be baby converse sneakers — as opposed to girly ballet flats. While celebrating Peta’s 30th birthday, the couple posed for a few photos and shared some with their fans as well. In one photo, Peta is kissing her husband-to-be in front of her cake. Not only is the writing on the cake blue, but there is a pair of blue baby shoes on it — another hint that the couple could be expecting a little boy at the end of the year. Fans were quick to catch on, which may have been the reason that Peta posted her most recent picture on Instagram. Celebrating her second trimester, the Dancing With The Stars champion posted a photo of herself posing with her baby bump is a cut-out dress with white sneakers. Looking super casual, Peta captioned the photo with another hint — she loves eating pickles — and asked her fans if they thought she was having a boy or a girl.

Peta has yet to update her fans with the answer — assuming she knows — but the consensus seems to be that it is a boy.

Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy are planning to wed in New York City next summer. The two became engaged last December after Maks popped the question in Miami during a performance of Sway at the Olympia Theater. According to Us Weekly, Peta and Maks dated back in 2012 for 10 months before calling it quits. They rekindled their love in 2015 and have not looked back since! They seem more in love than ever before.

“I’ve always said he has the most incredible generosity. He wants to take care of everybody that he knows. He has an incredible sense of humor when you get to see it. I think that his bad-boy image is slowly kind of drifting away — and that harsh Maksim image. He is the biggest teddy bear you’ll ever meet underneath that Ukrainian look. I just love him. Everything about him. He’s just a great man,” Peta said in February. “[He’s] somebody that I’ve always seen as being a great father and a great husband,” she added. How cute are these two?
