Katy Perry ‘Personally Called’ Kim Kardashian To Thank Her For Exposing Taylor Swift [Report]
Katy Perry is making it known that she’s on Team Kim Kardashian following her recent feud with Taylor Swift.
Katy was allegedly so thrilled that Kim shared video footage of Taylor approving the lyrics to Kanye West’s “Famous” on Snapchat earlier this week that she supposedly personally called Kardashian to thank her.
That’s according to a new report by Radar Online, who claimed that Perry, who herself has a long and dramatic feud with Taylor, personally thanked Kim for her pretty scathing Taylor take down via phone call.
“Katy is so happy that someone finally put Taylor in her place,” a source told the site this week, claiming that Perry “has dealt with Taylor’s high school mind games and lies for so long and she is so glad that Kim showed the world.”
Kardashian’s Snapchat video came just days Hollywood Life reported that Katy felt “vindicated” and “glad” after Swift’s ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris also took to social media to call out Taylor earlier this month.
Reigniting Katy and Taylor’s past feud through a series of scathing tweets, Harris told Swift in part,
“I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC, I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”
“Katy is still bitter about the way Taylor went after her,” a source told the site of how Perry really feels about the drama that’s swirling around the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer right now following their feud, adding that “Katy can’t help but feel vindicated by this.”
Radar Online‘s source also waded in on why Katy feels that Taylor has taken such issue with her over the past couple of years, alleging that Perry believes their feud is all over their shared ex-boyfriend John Mayer.
“Katy Perry thinks that it all comes down to the fact that John wanted to be with her and not Taylor,” Radar Online‘s insider claimed of why Perry believes Taylor Swift sensationally called her out in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone and in her single “Bad Blood.”
“That is real reason Taylor brought up the drama about Katy stealing her dancers,” the source added.
Though Swift never mentioned Katy by name as the woman she’s feuding with in the interview, she did admit to the magazine that she had a seriously frosty relationship with a fellow female popstar and claimed that her supposed “sabotage” made them “straight up enemies.”
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift said of the feud in the interview. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'”
Katy then appeared to confirm that she was the woman in question, hitting back on social media, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”
Though Perry has shied away from talking about Swift publicly since, it’s now thought that she could be ready to hit back with a scathing song of her own that’s thought to be a response to “Bad Blood.”
“Katy definitely had thoughts to squash their beef in light of all the bigger things happening in the world,” a source told Hollywood Life of Perry’s alleged Swift diss track, but reported that the recent drama surrounding Swift in recent weeks has supposedly made Katy more determined than ever to respond to “Bad Blood” and their feud in song.
“As the weeks have gone by and seeing what she is doing in this whole Calvin debacle has really lit the fire again,” the insider alleged.
