Watch India Vs. West Indies Cricket Live Online: Start Time, Streaming Video For First Test From Antigua

Fans can watch the India vs. West Indies cricket match live online and see if the Men in Blue can get their Caribbean tour started off on the right foot.

The Indian cricket team will be kicking off its month-long series against West Indies on Thursday with the start of the first Test series, offering India a chance to build on its successful visit to Zimbabwe and the introduction of some new players to the international circuit.

India and West Indies will start on Thursday at 10 local time (14:00 GMT/17:30 IST) at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

India just got back from a successful visit to Zimbabwe, winning five matches while dropping just one T20 match and looking sharp while doing it. The tour offered a chance for some of the more seasoned international players — including Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Suresh Raina — to take a rest while giving an introduction to some newcomers to the international stage. Both Manish Pandey and Karun Nair, who had made a name on the domestic circuit, made their debuts with the Men in Blue during the trip.

The trip was seen as a learning experience, with captain MS Dhoni making his mark on the new players and getting them acclimated to the international team they may one day lead.

“MS [Dhoni] is very excited to be part of a young bunch of players,” Sanjay Bangar, India’s interim coach, told ESPNcricinfo as the trip started. “It’s been a long time since he is getting an opportunity to play with younger players and pass on his experience.”

Those who watch the India vs. West Indies cricket match live online are likely to see a measured affair from the two teams rather than a shootout. During the team’s warm-up matches in St. Kitts, India’s R. Ashwin told ESPNcricinfo that the pitches were on the slower side and that his team would need patience in order to reach 20 wickets.

“Patience will be the key as a batting unit but once you get set it is important to [make] each and every session [count] because we will have to give time for our bowlers,” added Ajinkya Rahane. “It is not easy to take 20 wickets on this kind of pitches, especially on the slower tracks. As a batting unit, we will have to take responsibility and I think one or two batsmen will have to get set and score big here.”

Rahane added that the batsmen may have to cut some shots out during the first or second session until they are more comfortable with the conditions.

“But initially, it is important to take time for yourself,” he said. “If you are used to getting 100 in 150 balls, maybe here you will have to get 100 in 200 balls. So as a batsman it is important to play at least 200-plus balls here.”

Those who watch the India vs. West Indies cricket match live online will see if the teams can match the thrilling finish from the last time they met. The teams met in the ICC World T20 semifinal earlier this year, and West Indies won with a thrilling finish and a chase of India’s 192.

While the hot-hitting West Indies squad was in perfect form for the abbreviated format of the T20 tournament, they have not been as sharp in the Test matches. West Indies currently ranks No. 8 in the world with 65 ratings, compared to India’s No. 2 ranking and 112 ratings.
