Courteney Cox Directs Daughter Coco In Foy Vance’s Music Video, And Her Positively Revolting Bear Grylls Meal

Courteney Cox has recently proven herself as a stage mother when she had the opportunity to direct her daughter, Coco Arquette, as she starred in the music video for Foy Vance’s new song. According to People magazine, Foy Vance’s new song is named after Courteney Cox’s daughter Coco, who also stars in its music video.

The singer-songwriter first met Courteney Cox through her boyfriend, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, with whom Vance was already friends as they both hail from Northern Ireland and share a love for music. Courteney and Foy became close friends shortly after meeting, and the former Friends star soon introduced her daughter, Coco. Shortly after this introduction, Foy was inspired to write a song named after her daughter.

Courteney Cox spoke on the song that her daughter inspired.

“From the first time Foy played ‘Coco’ for me – and every time I’ve heard it since – I’ve felt he captured, not only Coco’s unique personality but also the beautiful childhood innocence that sadly, but inevitably, fades with time.”

She went on to describe the song as a “snapshot of the world as seen through a child’s eyes,” one that has been performed by a man who was moved to discover what the world looks like through the eyes of a child.

“I think it’s a perspective that we, as adults, never stop longing for.”

Vance explained the origin of the song and revealed that it started out as a cuff verse to make Coco laugh. He notes that Coco and Courteney share beautifully inquisitive spirits and kind hearts.

This is not the first time that Courteney Cox has been in the director’s chair, as she previously directed episodes of Cougar Town, as well as the drama Just Before I Go. When Foy approached the Cougar Town actress to direct the music video, she admitted that she felt thrilled, and was concerned only to properly convey the message of Foy’s song through the music video. Cox has said that she admires Foy’s incredible soul as a musician and a father, and she is proud to call him her friend.

Courteney Cox and her boyfriend recently visited Ireland. According to the Independent, the visit to Ireland was for Courteney Cox’s appearance on the Bear Grylls show Running Wild.

Cox shared a photo of herself and McDaid via Twitter shortly after landing.

Courteney Cox successfully completed filming for her upcoming appearance on Bear Grylls’ show Running Wild during her time in Ireland, but the experience was neither easy nor pleasant for the actress. According to the Independent, Courteney Cox was served maggots by Bear Grylls during a trek through rural Ireland.

The Friends actress was among the group of celebrities who put their survival skills to the test for the new season of Running Wild.

Bear Grylls spoke about Courteney Cox’s experience on his show during his appearance on a breakfast program when he joined another participant, Julianne Hough, to promote their upcoming episode. Julianne recalls her experience on the show and narrated all the struggles she had to go through, which is when Bear Grylls made it known to Julianne that her experience could have been much worse: she could have been forced to eat maggots just like Courteney Cox was.

Bear Grylls spoke on the moment Courteney Cox had to eat maggots on the show.

“Courteney Cox was one of our guests last week, and I found a rotting sheep, full of maggots. [I] got the maggots, cut [the sheep’s] testicle sack off, took its testicles out, filled the sack with maggots, boiled it up and gave it to her for dinner, so… you got off lightly!”
