Miranda Lambert Releases Divorce Song? ‘Vice’ May Be Inspired By Blake Shelton
Miranda Lambert has released a new song — and it seems to be about her divorce from Blake Shelton.
On July 18, Miranda Lambert shared her first single since her split from Shelton last June, which she co-wrote with Nashville songwriters Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, and in the song, “Vice,” she speaks of being “numb” and lonely.”
On the track, Miranda Lambert sings, “All dressed up in a pretty black label / Sweet salvation on a dining room table / Waiting on me / Where the numb meets the lonely / It’s gone before it ever melts the ice / Another vice!”
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton parted ways in July, 2015, after 4 years of marriage and just months later, Shelton moved on with Gwen Stefani as they filmed The Voice Season 9.
In other Miranda Lambert news, the 32-year-old singer appears to be completely in love with her boyfriend of several months, Anderson East, and recently wished the R&B singer a Happy Birthday on Instagram.

Miranda Lambert began dating East at the end of last year, and confirmed their relationship on Instagram in January with a photo of them cuddling under a red flannel blanket.
Just months ago, Miranda Lambert and her boyfriend made their red carpet debut at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, and while Shelton attended the event as well, Miranda Lambert “was not nervous at all” about the possibility of seeing her ex-husband.
“She is in a totally different space than [she was] months ago. She has no issues with Blake and is happy that he is in a good place in his life and also in love,” a source told E! News at the time. “Blake and [Miranda Lambert] were married, so they are not strangers. Miranda will always have a certain love for Blake, but the romantic and forever feelings are gone.”
Meanwhile, Anderson has a “crazy connection” with Miranda Lambert, the source continued. “Whenever they are together they act like two free spirits…Miranda adores Anderson. They understand each other. Anderson has given Miranda this confidence she hasn’t felt in some time. They are very supportive with each other and their careers.”
According to the report, Miranda Lambert and Anderson East are “serious” and have already met both sides of one another’s families.

Although Miranda Lambert shares frequent photos of herself and her new boyfriend on Instagram and Twitter, she’s kept the details of their romance completely secret from fans as rumors continue to swirl in regard to their romance.
Just months ago, Miranda Lambert was targeted with a report claiming she and East were planning to get married — and hoping to do so before her ex-husband, Shelton, walked down the aisle with his girlfriend. However, neither Miranda Lambert nor Shelton appears to be engaged at this time. Instead, both couples appear to be taking things slow and enjoying their relationships as they are as they continue to focus on their equally busy careers in the music industry.
Miranda Lambert is currently in the midst of her Keeper of the Flame Tour, which kicked off at the end of April and continues on through September, and has also participated in Kenny Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour.
