Gwen Stefani Surprises Fans With Blake Shelton Appearance During Virginia Show [Video]

Gwen Stefani’s boyfriend, Blake Shelton, joined her on tour on Sunday in Virginia for a surprise performance of their hit track, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

As Shelton prepares for the upcoming 11th season of NBC’s The Voice, he traveled to the east coast to attend Gwen Stefani’s third show during her This is What the Truth Feels Like Tour. And while he attended her first show in Boston, as well, his Sunday appearance marked his first surprise performance of the months-long event.

“What a treat! Fans didn’t know what they were in for when they went to Gwen Stefani’s July 17 concert at the Jiffy Lube Live Arena in Bristow, VA. After the 46-year-old performed tons of her amazing solo hits, Gwen brought a special guest onto the stage – her boyfriend Blake Shelton,” Hollywood Life revealed to readers on July 18.

Gwen Stefani began dating Shelton nearly one year ago after both had split from their former spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively, just months prior. Then, just a short while into their romance, as they filmed Season 9 of The Voice, Gwen Stefani and Shelton co-wrote “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

Since the start of their relationship, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have faced rumors of a possible engagement, numerous pregnancies, and wedding plans. However, at this point, they don’t appear to be engaged or expecting. In fact, a source claimed just weeks ago that Shelton wasn’t interested in tying the knot quite yet.

“Blake is having a blast with being on set again for The Voice. He is loving getting ready to be on the road more and he loves that [Gwen Stefani] is the backbone of all the good things that are happening in his life right now. But as much as he is in love with Gwen he is not in much of a rush to get married,” a source explained to Hollywood Life at the end of June. “But that shouldn’t be considered a bad thing at all. It just isn’t their time right now. He is happy with how everything is going with the relationship but it doesn’t need the extra layer of marriage to it just yet.”

The source went on to reveal Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were “having a good time” with their relationship and in no rush to settle down, which isn’t all that surprising. After all, they’ve been dating for less than one year.

When and if Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton do become engaged, fans can rest assured that her three sons with Rossdale, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, will be on board with welcoming Shelton into their family.

“[Gwen Stefani] definitely tells her kids what’s going on and runs things by them all the time,” another source told Hollywood Life. “She wants their wellbeing accounted for, and if and when she goes through another marriage, she wants the kids to be on board. They really like Blake, but she definitely wants to make sure they’re okay, since the divorce is still very fresh for the kids.”

Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend have spent tons of time with her kids in recent months and during spring break, the boys traveled to Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch for some outdoor fun, which Stefani chronicled on social media. Meanwhile, the boys have also been spotted with their father, Rossdale, who is rumored to have cheated on their mother with their former nanny, Mindy Mann.
