Jennifer Aniston Is Left Out of Her Mother’s Will: Nancy Dow Cut Her Out A Year Before Death

Unbeknownst to her, Jennifer Aniston was left out of her mother’s will a year before she died. Worse yet, all of her mother’s money and possessions are willed to another relative, including years of detailed personal notes about Jennifer that Nancy Dow meticulously took on her daughter.

Someone in the know revealed how serious this revelation is. Jennifer could easily become beholden to someone that wants to make money revealing her secrets that she may want to keep private.

“Nancy wrote down everything about Jen, and that material is now in the hands of someone who could profit from it.”

According to In Touch Weekly, despite supporting her estranged mother the past few years, in the newly revised will, the Friends actress receiving nothing. There is no mention who the other relative is. Dow had a son, John Melick, from her first marriage to John Melick Sr. John, who is about a decade older than Jennifer. Although Jennifer has spoken very little about her brother, when she first got her Friends gig, she had mentioned to many publications that she bought her brother a car and treated him and others to a great ski trip.

The revelation that someone could take these notes and make a profit on her must be more than unsettling to the private Aniston. Add her need to write a Huffington Post essay saying that she was not pregnant, but instead “fed up,” it is safe to say that this Friends star is not in a happy place right now.

Nancy Dow willed over a million dollars, along with her personal possessions and her home to this relative. Despite the strained relationship with her mother, Jennifer did help her mom out until her mom recently died at the age of 79.

“Nancy left the relative her condo and more than a million dollars that she’d saved. She was a penny-pincher, and the alimony she received from Jen’s dad, John [Aniston], was pretty much never touched.”

Nancy Dow died on May 25. Two weeks before her death, Jennifer went to see her mother who had suffered a very debilitating stroke. Obviously, there was no mention about the will, as the altered will came as a shock to everyone surrounding Jennifer Aniston. A confidential informant told the news source that Aniston’s mother “changed her will about a year ago, and no one in the family knew a thing about it.”

Jennifer had a long history of issues with her mother Nancy Dow. Against Jennifer’s wishes, Dow spoke to Hard Copy about Jennifer. Nancy Dow’s interview with this tabloid-style show caused a great rift between daughter and mother. Then, just three years later, Nancy Dow published the book From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir with details of their falling out. Despite her mother going against her wishes, Jennifer did financially care for her mother until the very end, per the insider.

“Even though Jen and Nancy had a very strained relationship, Jen still paid almost all of Nancy’s bills in her final years.”

Despite her daughter financially caring for her, Dow decided to withhold all of her papers from her daughter and perhaps spite her.

Jennifer had explained to The Hollywood Reporter about their complicated relationship and that her mom was “very critical of her” and could hold a grudge.

“She was also very unforgiving. She would hold grudges that I just found so petty.”

One of the challenges that Jennifer had to go through was that her mother was a great beauty. Jennifer never felt she met her mother’s high standards and scrutiny. Instead, Jennifer allowed herself to be who she was.

“Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn’t. I never was. I honestly still don’t think of myself in that sort of light, which is fine.”

Do you think that it is wrong for someone else to have possession of the detailed notes about Jennifer Aniston? Should this relative give the notes back to Jennifer?
