‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 10: Fallouts Teased By Showrunners

Fallouts are abound in Season 10 of The Big Bang Theory, showrunners reveal.

The Big Bang Theory’s Season 9 season-ender might not be as explosive as Season 8’s, but it still left a cliffhanger that left us at the edge of our seats. The Big Bang Theory Season 9’s final episode left us with quite a bit of tension, with the whole family not quite getting along as Penny and Leonard hoped they would be. Did Sheldon’s mother, Mary Cooper, and Leonard’s father, Alfred Hofstaedter, really hook up after abruptly leaving the dinner party?

Season 10 of The Big Bang Theory is headed towards the desire of Penny and Leonard to re-marry, witnessed this time by their family and friends. We can remember that in Season 9, the couple eloped to Las Vegas and decided to get married.

So, how will Season 10 of The Big Bang Theory open? The Big Bang Theory showrunner Steve Molaro tells Entertainment Weekly the following.

“If you’re wondering whether Penny and Leonard will make it down the aisle again, what happened on the eve of their vow renewals might get in the way. We’re left with a good amount of tension between all the parents. There’s a lot of fallout the following morning before we even get to the ceremony, if we even do.”

Molaro has not revealed what this tension exactly is and between whom this will transpire, but we’re putting our bets on sexual tension between Alfred and Mary, and some tension between Sheldon and Leonard, who are most certainly not too comfortable with the idea of their parents hooking up. If, indeed, Alfred and Mary goes on smoothly, are we expecting a new kind of relationship between our favorite The Big Bang Theory duo, Leonard and Sheldon? It seems there is a possibility that Season 10 of The Big Bang Theory will lead to Sheldon and Leonard sharing a new-found legal brotherhood.

When Molaro was asked about Sheldon and Leonard being potential brothers, he answers as follows.

“It’s inching toward that, isn’t it? There was — it fell out of the script — a joke referring to them as potential brothers. I’m going to go with the word ‘uncomfortable’ probably is a good starting place for their primary emotion of where we leave them and where we will pick up.”

Molaro adds that the details of what exactly happened after Mary and Alfred left for a “night cap” will be revealed in the premiere episode of The Big Bang Theory Season 10.

Apart from tying up the events of the dinner party, what else are we expecting from Season 10? Well, one of the expectations from The Big Bang Theory fans is that Sheldon and Amy could move in together when Sheldon finally lets Leonard move in with his wife, Penny. With their many relationship milestones in Season 9, it’s not altogether impossible for the most awkward couple to take more decisive (and even more awkward) steps into their relationship.

Will Bernadette and Howard finally get that baby? The Big Bang Theory showrunners reveal that no baby will get delivered in Season 10 just yet, and they will let Bernadette carry her baby jitters all season-long. Soon-to-be-godfather Raj will be right with them, so no troubles there.

More older generation family members are also in the way, with Penny’s mother getting introduced next season.

Season 11 is still unconfirmed for The Big Bang Theory, but we are all hoping that Season 10 won’t be the end just yet. With The Big Bang Theory amassing over 20 million viewers per episode, we’re pretty sure CBS is not yet ready to give the cast a break. As of date, The Big Bang Theory continues to be the most watched and most popular running comedy TV series.
