Eva Longoria: Yes, I’m Dating Mark Sanchez

Eva Longoria has confirmed that she has a new male athlete, and boyfriend, in her life.

The actress and former wife of San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker confirmed that she is dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, the New York Post reported. News outlets had spotted the pair out and about in New York over the summer, including an exclusive photo the Post snapped of the pair enjoying dinner near Sanchez’s Bedminster, New Jersey home.

Recently Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez were seen at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House after the Jets’ 48-28 win over the Buffalo Bills to open the NFL season.

When asked by Extra host Mario Lopez about whether the two are indeed a couple, Eva Longoria jokingly called him an “a–hole” at first, then answered:

“Mark and I are, you know, fine. We’re happy just dating,” she said after Lopez showed her a copy of the New York Post with photos of her trip out with Mark Sanchez.

The couple had endured rumors for almost the entire summer whether they were dating, but the notorious ladies man Sanchez was also seen with other women. An insider did tell Fox News Latino that Sanchez was quite taken with Longoria and found her to be his favorite companion.

After splitting from basketball player husband Tony Parker in 2010 , Eva Longoria had previously dated Eduardo Cruz before moving on to Sanchez.

Eva Longoria might not have a whole lot of time for dating, thought. She serves as co-chair of Barack Obama’s national re-election committee and she even gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Fans who miss seeing Eva Longoria each week on Desperate Housewives get a chance to see her on the small screen again, too. She is co-hosting the 2012 Alma Awards with George Lopez. The awards air Friday, September 21 on NBC.
