Jennifer Lawrence Admits She Could Kill Someone With That Bow

Jennifer Lawrence is winning the hearts of America as one of those rare stars shy of her own celebrity status. With her girl-next-door looks and down to earth nature, Lawrence may very well be poised to become the next America’s Sweetheart, as she dishes on Hollywood life, Hunger Games stardom, and her skills with the bow and arrow in a recent interview.

The October issue of W features an artsy photo shoot of Lawrence and an interview in which the 22-year-old actress talk about her upcoming roles in her next film Silver Lining Playbook and Hunger Games follow-up Catching Fire. As to how her role as Katniss Everdeen affects her personal life and her stardom, Lawrence shared:

“I was afraid that Katniss would overwhelm any other character I’d try to do. But I love Katniss, and she didn’t take over as much of my life as I thought she would.”

Still, there are real-life perks to playing the District 12 tribute.

“I do love archery,” Lawrence gushes, referring to her training for the role. “I could kill someone with a bow and arrow if they’d hold still!”

With regard to her status as a shy celebrity, Lawrence admits that the Hollywood scene isn’t for her:

“I don’t want to stay in L.A. and start thinking that’s reality — because it’s very far from normal. But I still love movies. I’m just going to love being in them from Kentucky, or Prague, or somewhere else.”
