‘Power’ Season 3 Premiere Date, Spoilers, And Everything Else Fans Need To Know

Season 3 of Power begins on Starz in just days, and fans can’t wait to see what the hit drama has in store this time around. With the tagline “Ghost must die,” it’s sure to be an epic ride that many are hoping can top the first two seasons. Now it’s just a matter of who is going to kill Ghost first, Kanan or Tommy.

Power showrunner Courtney A. Kemp has made it clear that Season 3 will keep fans on the edge of their seats. As roles have started to change and many have begun to question Ghost’s judgment, he comes into more and more danger. The irony of it all is that Ghost really just wants to go legit and run a real business, but the threats of the past and the distrust of his own best friend may cost him everything.

Joseph Sikora teased that his character Tommy will be evolving during Season 3 of Power as well. While Tommy has always been the most loyal, he’s also a huge liability for Ghost right now. Tommy feels like his loyalty has been betrayed and doesn’t know enough about Ghost and Angela’s relationship. As a matter of fact, right now he knows just enough to be dangerous and he also knows all of Ghost’s secrets.

“A lot of things the show promised in the first season will come to pass in the third season,” Kemp told Entertainment Weekly. “I want people to go, ‘OMG, I can’t believe that just happened!'”

As for the women of the show, they aren’t just supporting cast and Kemp is out to prove that too. In Season 3 of Power, as Tasha begins to build her own empire without Ghost, fans can expect the leading lady to make some big moves. While many have been waiting for Tasha to do something in retaliation for Ghost’s affair with Angela, apparently she won’t be doing anything blatant to get back at the other woman.

“One of the rules we have for our show is that we have few rules in the writers’ room,” Kemp said. “Take Tasha. A lot of people say, ‘Well, why doesn’t she beat that b—- Angela down?’ And I say, ‘It’s because she’s not stupid. She’s not going to do what you expect her to.’ That’s a statement.”

There will be several shocking deaths coming up in Season 3 of Power, and so far there aren’t too many clues as to who they may be. CarterMatt suggested that someone close to Ghost may be in trouble and that makes some worry about both Tasha and Angela.

There have also been suggestions that Tasha may team up with Kanan either in business or in romance. After all, what better way to get back at Ghost than to hook up with his biggest rival. Either way, there is going to be a huge shift in power this season according to Kemp. Fans can expect Kanan to step into a more leading role while Ghost may end up getting exposed for not being as good of a guy as fans were previously led to believe.

Season 3 of Power is said to be really pushing the limits. Kemp made it clear that the Starz drama will be just as dynamic and sexy as the first two seasons, plus there should be some surprising twists coming too.

Season 3 of Power premieres on Sunday, July 17, at 9 p.m. on Starz.
