Paris Hilton Reminds Everyone That She Made Kim Kardashian Famous

Paris Hilton says she was the one who made Kim Kardashian famous, according to News Australia. The 35-year-old socialite liked a shady picture posted by one of her fans on Instagram.

In the photo, Paris Hilton was edited together in a bed with Kim Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West, with the words below the picture, “I made his b***h famous.”

The words are a reference to West’s hit song “Famous” in which he claims that he made Taylor Swift (“that b***h”) famous. The picture with Paris Hilton was cut from West’s “Famous” music video.

Paris Hilton has previously claimed that she was the one who gave the popularity boost to Kim Kardashian after Hilton hired her to be her assistant on her own TV show The Simple Life in the period between 2003 to 2006.

But, of course, Kim Kardashian received worldwide recognition after her sex tape was leaked on the internet in 2007. That same year, the first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired. Paris Hilton benefitted from her own sex tape leaked on the internet to grow her own popularity.

So could those sex tapes, in both Kim Kardashian’s and Paris Hilton’s cases, be uploaded on purpose rather than “accidentally leaked” to become more famous?

After Paris Hilton’s popularity was overshadowed by Kim Kardashian’s fame, the 35-year-old socialite started making shady comments about her former friend. In one of her radio interviews in 2008, the businesswoman shared her opinion about Kim’s butt.

“I would not want [Kim Kardashian’s butt] — it’s gross! It reminds me of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag.”

But when asked in 2015 by Yahoo News whether she thought Kim Kardashian wouldn’t receive worldwide recognition if it wasn’t for her, Paris Hilton’s reply was a lot kinder.

“We’ve known each other since we were little girls. We’ve always been friends. It’s nice to inspire people.”

But it appears that Paris Hilton can make famous not only Kim Kardashian but also tech gadgets, according to Focus Taiwan. The businesswoman-turned-actress recently posted several pictures of herself using an HTC Vive.

HTC Vive is the first ever virtual reality headset produced by HTC. And thanks to Paris Hilton’s photos posted on Instagram, the VR headset started gaining huge popularity in the United States gadgets market.

In the photo, which has been liked over 21,000 times, Paris Hilton boasts her luxurious apartment as well as the VR headset, which is priced at $799.

“I have a favorite new toy. Just got the new HTC Vive Virtual Reality Headset.”

On her other photo, Paris Hilton is pictured wearing HTC Vive on her forehead as if it was a pair of sunglasses.

“So much fun playing all the games! It blows my mind how real everything looks.”

The HTC Vive, promoted by Paris Hilton, is one of HTC’s efforts to expand its technology past the smartphone market. With the goal to make HTC Vive a hit, the tech company hopes to secure the leading position at the VR market.

However, Paris Hilton is not the only celebrity who has promoted HTC Vive on social media. Microsoft founder Bill Gates, as well as former Chinese NBA player Yao Ming, also posted pictures of themselves playing with the HTC Vive on their social media accounts.

HTC Vive has recently launched sales in physical distribution channels around the world. But Paris Hilton praising the VR headset could indeed help the company sell more gadgets in the United States alone.
