RuPaul Asks Honey Boo Boo To Sing On New Album


The pint-sized money machine known as Honey Boo Boo keeps rolling right along. According to Reality TV Magazine, the breakout star of the aptly-titled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is now set to record a duet with model, actor, and electronic music superstar RuPaul. If you’ve been waiting patiently for the child formerly known as Alana Thompson to drop a track on the dance floor, your dedication has finally paid off.

“I’m doing a duet record and I’m here to ask Honey Boo Boo Child to be my duet partner!” RuPaul explained to E! News last week’s MTV Video Music Awards. “She is real. She is lovely. She’s funny. She doesn’t take herself seriously. The whole family doesn’t take themselves seriously. It’s really just good fun. I love anybody who dances to the beat of a different drummer.”

“She understands what drag is. That’s what pageants are,” he added. “That’s why pageants are so lovely.” When asked who would win in a drag queen showdown, his answer was simple: Honey Boo Boo.

In addition to his appearances in a number of Hollywood movies and a smattering of short films, RuPaul has released five albums over the years, the latest being his 2011 effort Glamazon. Of course, for those who spend a lot of time listening to electronic dance music, he’ll be forever known as the person responsible for the unrelenting earworm ” “Supermodel (You Better Work).”
