2016 Emmys: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Could Win Big This Year If Their Nominations Are An Indication

The Emmy nominations for 2016 have just been announced. For many shows, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences forgot them completely. However for HBO’s Game of Thrones, the nominations came in thick and fast with 23 nominations in a total of 18 categories.

Game of Thrones has beat all other TV programs with their record haul of nominations this year, although they only missed out on bettering their 2015 Emmy nomination haul by two nominations. In 2015, they were nominated 24 times, and as Esquire points out, won a total of 12 Emmys. Below are the categories HBO’s Game of Thrones has been nominated in this year along with its competition.
