‘Vikings’ Season 4 Return: Teaser Video, Emmy Nominations, Plus Lagertha’s New Look

Season 4 of Vikings is currently on hiatus with the second half to air later in 2016. It is likely the return date announcement for Season 4 of Vikings will be made at San Diego Comic Con 2016. History Channel has confirmed there will be an exclusive sneak peek into Season 4 at Comic Con this year. However, for those of you who can’t wait until Comic Con later in the month, a very special sneak peek of Season 4 of Vikings has been released by the History Channel!

The clip is very short and includes images of Ragnar’s grown up sons, Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), Ivar (Høgh Andersen), Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith), Sigurd (David Lindstron) and Hvitserk (Marco Islø), all of who were briefly introduced as adults in the Season 4 mid-season finale of Vikings back in April. Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) is seen briefly, although the clip of him is one shown in the previous Season 4 return video. Also included in the clip is Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard). While all these characters are shown, very little is revealed as far as the storylines moving forward in Season 4 of Vikings.

Surprisingly, fans finally get a look at a slightly aged Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). While the men around her have aged, Lagertha, a shield maiden who has fought many a hard battle both on and off the battle field, appears to have remained the same age in Vikings up to this point. Finally, it seems History Channel has decided it is time for Lagertha to show her age. Along with this image of Lagertha, Katheryn Winnick has posted the following image to her Instagram account showing one of Lagertha’s upcoming hairstyles from Season 4 of Vikings. “This season you’ll see [Lagertha] with little pieces of Celtic metal [in her hair] when she’s going to battle, which looks fabulous on her,” the stylist behind this new look told International Business Times.
