Splendour In The Grass 2016 Music Festival Preparing Pokémon GO Hunt

Splendour in the Grass, one of the biggest music festivals in Australia, has just made an announcement that is sure to interest music lovers down under, according to Tone Deaf. Organizers of the 2016 event, which will be held in Byron Bay later this month, have finally unveiled the performer lineup.

According to organizers, the lineup for Splendour in the Grass 2016 will feature The Kills, The Avalanches, Harts, Methyl Ethel and many others. In fact, those planning to visit the event later this month can already check out the set times for this year’s performances.

Organizers have also announced who will be closing each evening at Splendour in the Grass this year. On Friday, July 22, The Strokes and The Avalanches will be the last ones to perform on the main stage, while The Cure will close out on Saturday, and Flume on Sunday.

It was reported earlier this summer that Splendour in the Grass 2016 was already sold out. But it was revealed just earlier this month that the organizers are planning to entertain the festival’s attendees with a Pokémon hunt, according to Music Feeds.

It wasn’t enough for organizers of Splendour in the Grass that the music festival will feature lots of highly-anticipated gigs by some of the best bands in the world, so they came up with the idea to have Venusaur, Pikachu, and other Pokémon flying around between the shows.

Instead of Splendour in the Grass visitors spending their time “hunting” their favorite bands for selfies and autographs, they can now take the opportunity to hunt Pokémon! In fact, there is already a Pokémon hunt Facebook event scheduled to be held on Friday, the first day of the festival.

So PoGOers are encouraged to join the event and go on a Pokémon hunt with fellow PoGOers. In the event description, it says that the hunt will begin at 3:15 pm.

“Meet at the Amphitheatre stage at 3:15pm on the Friday, watch DMA’S and then let’s go catch those little f***ers.”

But those who don’t want to miss their favorite bands due to the Pokémon hunt are encouraged to check out Splendour in the Grass 2016’s set times and schedule their own Pokémon adventures.

The Global Village will be returning this year to Splendour in the Grass, according to The Music. Organizers of the event are also introducing a number of new facets, including the World Stage and Bohemian Lounge.

At the World Stage, music fans will be offered the opportunity to enjoy world fusion acts, including The Cambodian Space Project, Bustamento, and Kalidad. Bohemian Lounge, meanwhile, will be a relax-territory, where Splendour in the Grass visitors will be able to sip on Hari Hari Chai and enjoy participating in or watching various cultural workshops.

At the Village Green, Splendour in the Grass visitors will be offered the opportunity to attend circus classes, while the Global Village will feature the Healing Sanctuary. Those who want to go nuts and dance through the night are encouraged to visit the Electric Garden Silent Disco.

At the Gyuto Gompa, the Gyuto Monks of Tibet and the Minjungbal Gunyah will share their wisdom with Splendour in the Grass visitors, while the Tipi Forest will entertain guests with trance and dance music.

Such artists as Dreamstate, Autopilot, Opiou, and Psywalker are set to perform at the Tipi Forest, which will also entertain Splendour in the Grass visitors with spectacular performances from visual artists.

And Smirnoff House has a special offer for Splendour in the Grass guests as it will feature DJ sets from Pilerats on Friday and I Oh You on Sunday.
