Demi Lovato & Wilmer Valderrama Faked Their Break-Up? Couple Reportedly Dating Again

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama made a shocking announcement over a month ago when they posted on Instagram that they decided to break up. The two have been dating for six years but realized that they are better off as best friends rather than lovers. Despite the split up, they vowed to support each other.

The split came as a surprise to many people because the 23-year-old diva and the 36-year-old actor were spotted together at the Billboard Music Awards on May 22; they made the announcement on June 3. The two didn’t show any signs of relationship trouble, which started rumors that they just faked their break up.

Hollywood Life recently reported that Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have reunited. They are allegedly trying to rekindle their romance. Maybe they never really broke up or realized how much they still love each other after being apart for over a month.

“They’re trying again, meaning they’re back together and dating again,” an insider revealed. “They did break up, as Demi’s announcement stated, but now they’re back together. It’s another Jelena situation.”

During a recent interview with the Mirror, the “Cool for the Summer” hitmaker showed no signs of sadness as she talked about her split from her boyfriend of six years. Instead, she admitted that she’s excited to face the future being single.

“I feel really amazing. I feel really great and I’m growing,” Lovato confessed. “My life is just really, really exciting for me because I’m growing. It’s new and fresh, and I feel free.”

The pop superstar isn’t necessarily facing the future on her own because she claims that there are many people she trusts, so all she has to do is surround herself with those kinds of people. During an interview with Elvis Duran and The Morning Show, Demi revealed her strength and independence.

“You only get one life, so if you don’t do what makes you happy in this moment, you’re doing yourself an injustice for the rest of your life,” she said. “If you find yourself in a situation where you think maybe I’m not happy right now, maybe you have to make changes.”

That could already be a hint that the former child actress is unhappy with her relationship. The two have been very vocal about their love for each other, and that’s why most of their fans were surprised they decided to call it quits just when there were talks of marriage. Finally, the truth about Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama’s break-up was revealed.

“It had turned into more of a big brother-little sister kind of relationship,” an insider told E! News. “The romance wasn’t what it used to be.”

“Wilmer is still very protective of her. He did a lot for her—not just in terms of being there for her when she had her health issues, but really helping build her brand and launch her product lines,” their source added. “You never saw him out in front though. He never tried to ride her fame.”

A separate source revealed that their relationship has grown more into a friendship than a lifelong romance. In fact, the former That ’70s Show star admitted that he isn’t ready to get married to his girlfriend. He claims that they are not in that space yet despite the marriage talks in the past.

“They love each other but aren’t in love anymore,” an insider revealed. “They are really great friends which they’ll continue to be but the romance sort of died.”

Some fans still have a hard time believing that Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have broken up because the singer still kept her photos with her ex-boyfriend on Instagram, including their adorable photo together where she claimed to be “so much in love it’s stupid.”

The Hollywood heartthrob also retained photos of his girlfriend on Instagram, including their date night last Valentine’s Day. Maybe the two will manage to work out their relationship again just like Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who are rumoured to be engaged again.
