NASA Photo Shows Alien Message In Morse Code On Mars Sand — Scientists Say Message Is Gibberish, Alien Hunters Say It Is Mars Language [Video]

The UFO and alien conspiracy theory community is in excitement following emergence of a strange Mars photo showing a formation of dark sand dunes resembling Morse code. The image, taken by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on board NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) on February 6, 2016, has sparked a debate, with conspiracy theorists insisting that it actually shows an “alien” message in Morse code on the Martian surface.

Although NASA admits that the formation — consisting of odd-looking dashes and dots on the surface of the Red Planet — bears an eerie resemblance to Morse code, scientists insist it is the incidental creation of topography and wind movement on the planet and that it does not communicate any secret “alien” message.

An expert translated the message as “NEE NED ZB 6TNN DEIBEDH SIEFI EBEEE SSIEI ESEE SEEE,” to show that the alleged Morse code only spells out gibberish, according to CNET.

But alien hunters argued that the formation could be proof of extraterrestrial intelligence and that aliens could be trying to tell us something, according to UFO Sightings Hotspot. The Morse code-like sand dune formation of dots and dashes on the surface of the Red Planet — according to conspiracy theorists — may have been created by intelligent beings trying to communicate possibly urgent message to spacecraft flying over the planet.

The message claimed to spell out gibberish could be an SOS message that translates into Martian language, UFO hunters speculated. This explains why it appeared to be gibberish.

But scientists have been debating how the dunes were formed.

According to HiRise expert Veronica Bay, who analyzed the message, the unusual formation of sand dunes may have been created in areas of circular depression — possibly old asteroid impact craters — by bi-directional winds moving at right angles to the sand dunes.

The circular depressions limit the amount of sand available to form the long and flowing dunes usually seen on the Martian surface. Thus the typical long lines of dunes are interrupted irregularly by smaller dots (barchanoid dunes) and dashes.

However, scientists admitted that the process through which the “Morse code” dunes were formed is not well understood and that further observations and studies need to be conducted to fully understand it.

“This process is not well understood at present and is one motivation (to study) this area.”

According to Bray, the Morse code-like structure of the sand dunes is only incidental to the physical process that formed it. This is demonstrated by the fact that the translation of the apparent Morse code does not form a coherent sentence structure, according to Bray.

But alien hunters disagreed with NASA experts, arguing that what constitutes a coherent structure in alien language cannot be judged by humans. Some alien hunters speculated that the message could be an urgent SOS left recently by space-faring alien astronauts after their UFO crashed on the Martian surface.

A craft may have been sent from an alien mothership to rescue the stranded astronauts who then left the message on the Martian surface hoping that subsequent wind movement would erase it, some enthusiasts speculated.

UFO blogger Scott C. Waring also believes that the sand dune formation is alien Morse code. According to the UFO hunter in a recent post to on his UFO Sightings blog, the structures are “evidence of an alien culture in front of us.”

“It’s unbelievable, and should be impossible, and yet, here it is, evidence of an alien culture in front of us.”

This is not the first time that alien hunters have claimed sensationally that aliens may have sent a message in alien Morse code. Footage showing a UFO sighting over Fairbanks in Alaska that emerged last May, sparked similar speculation.

The footage purportedly showed a hovering, pulsating alien orb UFO dropping smaller orbs — believed to be alien landing pods — as part of an alleged ongoing stealth invasion of Earth.

Some alien hunters speculated that the orb may have also flashed a message in alien Morse code to unknown recipients on Earth.

“I noticed a blinking light and I thought it was an airplane,” the witness told MUFON. “When I came around to the other side of the Morris Thompson building [in Fairbanks, Alaska] heading east I saw a big, bright orb shoot straight down while the blinking light I saw earlier was stationary.”

After analyzing the video showing the orb UFO dropping smaller orbs to Earth, some UFO enthusiasts suggested that the observed pattern of blinking of the UFO light may have been an alien form of Morse code and that the orb may have sent a secret message.

The suggestion sparked further speculation that the UFO may have transmitted coded D-Day message to alien sleeper cells on Earth.

But others suggested, more optimistically, that the message may have been a warning to humans.
