Lady Gaga Risks Being Banned From China For Consorting With The Dalai Lama

Lady Gaga has officially done it! She has earned her driver's license. According to People magazine, Lady Gaga spent years driving around with a learner's permit and an adult present in the car prior to getting her license.

Lady Gaga officially passed her road test and then excitedly shared her results with her social media followers. Lady Gaga captioned a shot of her with her friend on Instagram with a joking "Thelma and Puhleaaaze" as she explained her new license.

"Thelma and Puhleaaaze (And yes I FINALLY got my license after years of driving w an adult present and a learners permit)"
Apart from getting her license, Lady Gaga might have just established herself as the one and only person who looks thrilled to be at the DMV. Lady Gaga also uploaded a pic of her at the DMV, and it showed that she was alone in an empty classroom.

More snaps came afterward as the excited singer and actress could not contain her joy over finally getting her driver's license. Another photo showed Lady Gaga alongside her white Mercedes-Benz praying to the ground after passing her road test, captioned with a "praise him."

Apart from getting her license, Lady Gaga has been in the news recently as she has become an advocate for gun control in the wake of last month's Orlando shooting at the Pulse nightclub. According to RTT News, Lady Gaga and Chris Pine appeared in a new video to honor the 49 people who lost their lives in the Orlando nightclub.

Lady Gaga is one of an impressive group of 49 celebrities featured in the video. The 18-minute-long clip, directed by American Horror Story director Ryan Murphy, opens with a black screen and proceeds to explain the tragic events that occurred in the nightclub. Lady Gaga begins to list those who perished by offering details about 27-year-old Jean Carlos Nieves Rodriguez, a manager of a check cashing store.

Lady Gaga had also found herself amidst controversy during a recent interview on the topic of kindness. According to ABC News, Chinese fans were angered when Lady Gaga met the Dalai Lama for an interview.

Lady Gaga interviewed the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader in a live Facebook video after he gave a keynote speech at the United States Conference of Mayors in Indiana. Immediately after Lady Gaga posted the picture of her and the Dalai Lama on Instagram, the comments section was littered with negative remarks. Some of the remarks went as far as to say that it was as if Lady Gaga had shaken hands with a Chinese terrorist, despite the fact that the Dalai Lama's speech mainly focused on hope for the future.

Lady Gaga is one of the most popular musicians in the world and has a large following in mainland China. Her meeting with the Dalai Lama has led to online speculation that she might even be banned from performing in the country. If this comes to pass, Lady Gaga would not be the first to undergo such harsh treatment as musicians including Selena Gomez, Bon Jovi, and Maroon 5 have canceled their Chinese tours reportedly due to their links to the Dalai Lama.

In other, more positive news, at least Lady Gaga can rest assured that she is a good kisser. According to Refinery 29, Alexander Skarsgard confirmed that Lady Gaga earned high marks in the kissing department.

Skarsgard featured in Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" video, which is how he came to know first-hand about her kissing skills. Although he admitted that he enjoyed kissing her, he also joked that it did feel good to throw her off the balcony.
