Calvin Harris Thinks His Own Relationship With Taylor Swift Was Faked

Both fans and the media have speculated whether Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s relationship is all for PR purposes. Meanwhile, Calvin Harris is still reeling over his split with the pop star. An alleged source close to the DJ says he believes their relationship was orchestrated on her part.

Calvin Harris, 32, has still been thinking over his 15-month relationship with Taylor Swift. He thinks that their relationship was a publicity stunt, claims sources close to the “This is What You Came For” producer. After he noticed that Swift, 26, moved on quickly with Hiddleston, 35, he has been upset by her new romance and thinks that she just used him to be in the press.

“He’s not happy about their relationship. He was hurt,” an inside source close to Calvin told the New York Post‘s PageSix column. “Looking back, some friends do feel like Taylor’s team manipulated and orchestrated part of [her] relationship [with Calvin] after seeing how public she is with her new guy. It makes sense.”

According to a Celebuzz report, critics have even slammed Swift’s relationship with Hiddleston and compared it to the beginnings of her relationship with Harris back in March 2015. There seemed to be an overlap when Swift and Harris started dating, just like there’s an overlap with Swift dancing with Hiddleston at the Met Gala and then breaking up with Harris in June. Before Harris dated Swift, he was seen having a six-month relationship with model Aarika Woolf. Swift also confirmed the dating rumors through various PDA photos taken by both her fans and the paparazzi.

Speaking out about whether or not the pop star’s relationships are fabricated, the insider added, “I wouldn’t put it past her,” the insider told PageSix. “That’s what they do. It’s obvious.”

However, another insider told the Mirror that Taylor and Tom are in a genuine relationship. Even though Calvin has called their split “amicable,” he has since deleted that tweet and all photos of their relationship from his social media accounts. In addition, Calvin hinted to fans on Instagram that his relationship with the songstress could have been faked for the cameras.

“She controlled the media and this situation, I had no idea what was going on. So that kind of makes it a lot worse from my perspective,” he wrote to one of the fans, as reported by the Huffington Post.

As to why he unfollowed and refollowed his ex-girlfriend on Instagram, “Cause I can do what I want.”

Whether or not Harris actually wrote those Instagram comments are up for debate. Harris’ rep denied the report, but fans claimed that the comments stemmed from his official Instagram comment. Meanwhile, another source revealed to Hollywood Life on Monday, July 11, that Harris is still hurt about Swift cozying up to Hiddleston.

Like the rest of the world, he’s been having to see the countless photos of the two looking loved up together in various countries. Taylor placed her career on hold to fly down to Australia with Tom as he films his next movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

Meanwhile, Harris has been utmost focused on making and releasing music. His latest song “Ole” with John Newman was rumored to be a cheating song about Swift. It included the lyrics, “I see online/That you’ve begun to be a good girl/And take trips with your boyfriend/Being attentive/Continue to pretend.”

Keep in mind that it’s only been three weeks since Taylor and Tom were first spotted kissing on a beach in Rhode Island and kicked off their dating world tour.
