Shannon Beador Struggles To Sell Her Massive Orange County Home: No Buyers In Sight

Shannon Beador seems to be very concerned with what people think of her and her family. She’s often defending her decisions on The Real Housewives of Orange County and clarifying things quite a bit. On last week’s episode, one of her three daughters pointed out that they were moving because they couldn’t afford to live in such a big home anymore. But Beador made sure to inform viewers that she simply wanted to downsize because the house they were living in was enormous. It wasn’t because she couldn’t afford it. Instead, she just wanted something smaller for them to enjoy.

According to a new Bravo report, Shannon Beador is now continuing to set the record straight. As it turns out, Beador has yet to sell her Orange County home, even though she’s been close to making a sale a few times. As it turns out, the home has been in escrow several times, but the deals have fallen through.

“Our house has been on the market for a while and we have been in and out of escrow. It can be quite frustrating. At the beginning I would find a house that we were interested in moving to, and when our home fell out of escrow, the other home would sell. At this point, I am not even going to look at other homes until I know our sale is truly going to close. I enjoyed the entire building process but did not enjoy the length of time it took. My goal is to purchase another house with good ‘bones,’ strip it down, and put our own finish on it,” Shannon Beador explains in her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to Bravo.

Based on her blog, it sounds like Shannon and her family are still living in the massive home in Orange County. There have been no reports about the family moving out and into something smaller. Of course, Shannon isn’t ready to start looking until she has sold their current home, which appears to be massive.

And Beador also seems to defend her daughters on this week’s episode, as her oldest daughter Sophie was spotted wearing makeup. Maybe people reached out to her on Twitter, asking her about her rules for wearing makeup. As it turns out, Beador is a bit strict when it comes to her daughters wearing makeup and the only reason why her oldest daughter was sporting makeup on this week’s episode was because she had been at a dress rehearsal.

“Just an aside, you may remember me taking the girls makeup shopping last season. The twins do not wear makeup and Sophie sometimes wears mascara, but that is all. When I had the conversation with my daughters about moving, Sophie had just arrived home from the dress rehearsal of her school play where they applied very heavy makeup. Just want to be clear that my child does not go out in public (or at home for that matter) looking like she’s in her 20s!” Shannon Beador explains in her blog, sharing that she has no interest in her girls growing up faster than they have to.

It is definitely interesting that Beador is so strict in her home, which could explain why she’s so strict when it comes to Vicki Gunvalson. Shannon has no interest in forgiving Gunvalson, and she doesn’t even want to hear her side of the story. According to Reality Tea, Kelly Dodd called Beador out on this, saying that she felt that she should give Vicki a chance, even though Kelly doesn’t actually know everything that happened last year.

What do you think of Shannon Beador’s rules in her home? Are you surprised that she hasn’t sold her home yet?
