Lamar Odom Checks Into Rehab For Drug, Alcohol Abuse: Hoping To Win Back Khloe Kardashian?

Lamar Odom has reportedly checked into rehab for an intensive program dealing with those who struggle with alcohol and drug abuse, it has been reported.

The athlete made headlines earlier this year when sources alleged that the father of two had relapsed — instead of asking for people’s guidance and help, Lamar never addressed his problems until his friends allegedly found a bong in his home.

This was reportedly the same house Khloe Kardashian had rented out for her estranged husband following his release from hospital last year, just weeks before the former Lakers player would suffer from a devastating overdose.

Khloe has more or less neglected Lamar Odom in last couple of weeks, sources allege. She became tired of playing the babysitter, especially after everything she has done to get the athlete back on the right path. It almost seemed as if Odom wasn’t appreciating everything Khloe was doing for the sake of his health.

So, after being kicked out of the rental home, Lamar allegedly relocated to Sherman Oaks, where he’s taking part in an intensive program to overcome his drug and alcohol abuse. According to Radar Online, Lamar knows that he needs to get his act together; Khloe was extremely supportive, and for him to mess it all up by secretly forming an addiction again is disrespectful and careless.

“He moved out a month ago and he is renting a place in Sherman Oaks, an apartment,” a source tells the outlet. “Lamar was really struggling for a while. But he wouldn’t listen to anyone that told him to get help.”

It’s unclear as to how long Odom has been at the supposed rehab facility, but according to insiders, he’s doing extremely well. One source added that the 36-year-old has given the impression that he’s definitely determined to beat his addiction, knowing that his near-death experience should have been a wake-up call for Odom to get his life together.

“He’s actually in a program. Lamar is taking big steps to keep up his sobriety,” the source went on to stress, making it very clear that Khloe’s estranged husband wants to make a change this time around.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Lamar Odom has agreed to finalize his divorce with Khloe, knowing very well that the reality star wants nothing more than to move on with her life.

The TV star has been very vocal in recent months about people who don’t appreciate what they have until it’s gone, making a rather subtle and indirect reference at Odom, who firmly denied having formed yet another addiction when confronted by Khloe and her family.

An insider reveals that Khloe wants to start a family and get married again, but she can’t do that if she’s still attached to Lamar. She will never be getting back together with the athlete — there’s just so much that has happened in the last three years that cannot be overlooked.

At the end of the day, the 32-year-old wants nothing more than to see Lamar Odom happy and healthy, and she is willing to support him if he’s actually serious about it this time. But as far as a reconciliation is concerned, that certainly won’t be happening.
