New ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Patch For PS4 And Xbox One Users Released

According to Design & Trend, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 update 1.13 is now available for PS4 and Xbox One users in order to prepare for the release of the Descent expansion – which will be released tonight. It has been reported that the update includes a 1.14 GB download for PS4 users and a 1.6 GB download for Xbox One users. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players who plan on purchasing the new DLC are encouraged to download this update patch sooner rather than later.

The patch notes for the update reveal the downloads will add additional support to the Descent content, the new Fracture game mode, the PSN Play Together feature, and several other features.

PlayStation Lifestyle reports PS4 and Xbox One users can expect the following changes based on the update patch notes:

Descent DLC 3 Map Pack Support

  • Multiplayer maps will include: Empire, Cryogen, Berserk, and Rumble.
  • Zombies map via Gorod Krovi

Groups

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players will now have the option to invite players to a group by using the Player’s ID. The maximum group membership was increased to 100,000 players. When browsing friends, players will also be able to see what groups their friends belong to.

Fracture (New Game Mode)

The new game mode allows Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players to pick up core files that have been dropped by fallen enemies in order to deliver the files to the fracture site. Depositing the files into the fracture site will earn points for your team. The first team to reach the score limit – or the team with the highest number of core files retrieved at the end of the time limit will win the match.

Black Market

Various bugs in the black market have been fixed.

Arena

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players are no longer put on probation for leaving a match if two or more other players outnumber them.

Numerous Bugs and Glitches Have Been Fixed

Patch notes reveal this update will fix several different bugs and glitches in several different areas around the game PS4 and Xbox One Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 users have been complaining about.

When Will Fracture Game Mode Be Available?

The Fracture game mode Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 users have been waiting for will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting on July 15. You will be able to access this new game mode from the bonus playlist.

The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Descent is not set to unlock until 9 p.m. PT/12 a.m. ET tonight. PS4 users in North America, however, do have the option of pre-loading the game. Pre-loading the game will make the game ready to be played when it unlocks tonight. It has been revealed that the download to pre-load the game to the system is 7.5 GB in size. UK PS4 and Xbox One Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players are not able to download the pre-load of the game, even if they are a Season Pass holder. UK Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players will have to wait until the new DLC is released to gain access to it.

If you hold a Black Ops 3 Season Pass, you will be able to download this new DLC for free once it has been released. If you are not a holder of the season pass, you will have to pay $15 to download the new DLC once it has been released.

If you have the opportunity to do so, pre-downloading the game before the release is going to make it easier for you to access the DLC and start playing. If you don’t pre-download the game, you will be with the rest of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players waiting for the DLC (which is nearly 8 GB in size) to finish download before you can start playing.
