Luis Ortiz Reveals What He’s Doing Now After Quitting ‘Million Dollar Listing: New York’

Luis Ortiz dropped a bomb on the season finale of Million Dollar Listing: New York. Not only was Luis ready to leave the show behind to focus on another passion, but he was also leaving real estate behind. Over the past couple of years, Luis has worked from the ground up, and fans have followed along as he hustled, made connections, and took chances that the other real estate agents on the show didn’t. This season, Ortiz revealed that he was sad, but he couldn’t quite figure out what was bothering him. During the season finale, he told his assistant, Ronita, that he was ready to leave real estate behind and depart the show.

According to a new Instagram post, Luis Ortiz hasn’t said anything about what he’s doing these days, but it sounds like he has quite the savings account. Ortiz traveled to Greece to celebrate Ryan Serhant’s wedding, and he brought his twin brother with him. But now that the wedding is over, Luis is planning on traveling around Europe, and he has no plans of returning to New York; at least, not right now.

“Life is not to be rushed. Now that I’m in Europe, not knowing when will I return, I have learned that putting pressure on yourself for things to happen doesn’t allow you to be present and being present is when and how you absorb and learn from what you’re going through! So let’s enjoy the moment!” Luis Ortiz wrote on Instagram, sharing that he was headed to Italy after the wedding.

This morning, Luis posted an Instagram video of himself in the airport, waiting for a flight to Italy. In the video, he revealed that he had no plans of returning home, and he had no plans for when he arrived in Italy. In fact, Ortiz has no idea what he’s doing when he gets to Italy. He said that the only plan he had was to find a restaurant where they play music outside, and then, he could consume so much wine and pasta that his fans won’t be able to recognize him.

Of course, Luis Ortiz is taking this long trip to find himself after leaving Million Dollar Listing: New York and real estate. But in his Instagram video, he revealed that he wants to keep his fans involved in this trip and keep them updated on everything that’s happening so he can share his journey with everyone. And many of his fans are curious as to what his plans are and where he will end up. No word on whether he has sold his New York City apartment.

Ortiz recently opened up about leaving real estate, and he admits that it wasn’t an easy decision to leave the show and completely leave his career behind.

“It was tough because first of all, I didn’t know that that was what I needed to do. I always ignored that that could be a possibility because I’m at the peak of my game and doing better today than I’ve ever done in my career,” Luis revealed to the Daily Dish, according to Bravo, adding, “So why would I think that? But when I realized that it wasn’t making me happy, it was a hard decision to make because then you say you have built a career that is a allowing you to do so well or you’re doing so well, but yet doesn’t make you happy — so the decision has to be which one do I choose? So I chose happiness.”
