Kim Kardashian initially struggled to shed her post-pregnancy pounds after the birth of her second child. But now, with 60 pounds successfully lost, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is dishing up the details of her weight loss diet and fitness plan, including how she succeeded in dropping seven pounds in just two weeks, reported E! News.
Kardashian has whittled her waistline so successfully that some claimed her image was digitally modified for her starring role in Fergie’s “M.I.L.F. $” music video. But rather than Photoshop, a source revealed to E! News that the mom of two credits her focused exercise and diet program.
In just two weeks, Kim succeeded in taking off seven pounds, focusing on her ultimate goal of 120 pounds or less.
“She’s been working out twice a day, cardio and then a class like Pilates,” shared the insider.
“And she’s doing a very strict Atkins plan, eating about 20 grams of carbs a day. She’s really happy with the results.”
In addition, Kardashian directly clapped back at those who credited Photoshop for her trim tummy in the music video. She did confess that she used a corset for her role, however.
“F–kYoPhotoShop #Corsetlife,” posted Kim.
But the corset doesn’t get all the credit when it comes to those 60 pounds that she shed to restore her pre-baby body. The reality TV star also was motivated by her cover photo shoot for GQ’s “Love, Sex & Madness” issue. Kardashian emphasized her determination in sticking to both her diet and fitness.
“I woke up every day at 6 in the morning and worked out. I did a strict Atkin’s diet. Strict, strict, strict.”
After Kim’s first child, North West, was born, she admits she struggled to stay on her diet. This time around, however, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star found it easier to stick to her plan.
“This time was so much easier and I realized [it comes down to] the food. I mean, I love to work out and you definitely have to work out to tone up, but so much of it is how you eat,” pointed out Kim. “I had to really stay focused. I had to cut out all the sweets and I had such a sweet tooth.”
But the mom of two didn’t hesitate to take on the challenge.
“After-baby body? I welcome that challenge. It’s so crazy to see what your body can go through and what it’s capable of,” gushed Kardashian.
To help her fans understand her weight loss diet plan, Kim has been documenting her meals on social media, noted the Daily Mail.
A sample breakfast features an oatmeal and egg frittata. The 35-year-old reality TV star revealed that she adds fruit to her morning meals, and she topped her egg dish with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
“I’m having my carbs in the morning with fruit,” clarified Kardashian.
Another sample protein-rich breakfast included turkey bacon and an egg white frittata whipped up with vegetables and feta cheese, while an example of her dinner included salmon and Brussel sprouts.
To avoid temptation, Kim admitted that she remained home on the Fourth of July, skipping feast-focused festivities.
“Stayed home today cuz I couldnt temp myself. 2 weeks crazy strict Atkins diet,” posted Kardashian.
In addition to charting the number of pounds that she has lost, the reality TV star has been measuring her waistline and hips. Kim confessed that although she is proud that she’s achieved a 26-inch waistline, her famous rear is the final frontier when it comes to inches lost, reported ET.
“My butt and my hips are the last to go,” admitted the mom of two.
However, she is determined to whittle those areas as well.
“I’m not stopping!” Kardashian added. “After having two kids, and being able to get in shape and still feel good about myself, I’ve never felt better. I worked my a** off, I’ve altered my life and I’m proud of that.”
