Calvin Harris still hasn’t gotten over his split with Taylor Swift. It seems like the singer bounced back from their shocking split, announced on June 1, by moving forward in a fast-paced relationship with Tom Hiddleston that has been turning heads and causing rumors to swirl. Supposed friends of Calvin told Page Six that he’s “hurt” that she’s been flaunting her relationship with the Night Manager star.
“He’s not happy about their relationship,” the inside source said. “He was hurt. Looking back, some friends do feel like Taylor’s team manipulated and orchestrated part of [her] relationship [with Calvin] after seeing how public she is with her new guy. It makes sense.”
The rumor mill has been talking ever since Swift, 26, and Hiddleston, 35, made their romance public nearly three weeks ago. Some speculate that their relationship is a publicity stunt while others believe that Swift is pregnant with Hiddleston’s baby since they’re talking kids and moving so fast. It doesn’t help the rumors when the couple has been photographed around the world. Even Harris’ alleged friend thinks that the two are strictly p.r.
“I wouldn’t put it past her. That’s what they do. It’s obvious,” the source confirmed to the outlet.
As for Calvin’s new song “Ole” with John Newman, fans have been wondering if it’s about Taylor and Tom’s romance. It includes the lyrics, “I see online/ That you’ve begun to be a good girl/ And take trips with your boyfriend/ Continue to pretend.”
One of the friends simply told Page Six about the song, “Calvin always speaks the truth.”
The recently single Scottish DJ was seen partying the night away with Nicole Scherzinger on Friday night, July 8, according to a report via the Daily News. Harris and Scherzinger reportedly ran into each other at the Tape nightclub, where they posed for an Instagram photo along with their friends.
Don’t think that these two are dating, though. An inside source told The Mirror that their meeting at the nightclub was coincidental.
“Nicole was out for the evening with her girlfriends,” the source said. “Calvin being there was a coincidence.”
Scherzinger reportedly knows Harris from attending past gigs in Los Angeles. They also worked on music before. The two stars were seen getting into a car together later on that evening, with another source telling The Sun that Harris even offered to give the former Pussycat Dolls singer a ride.
“Calvin and Nicole know each other from Los Angeles. She was in Tape with her cousin, and they ended up partying together. They had a great night, and Calvin offered to give Nicole a ride back to her hotel when they finally left,” the source told the British newspaper. “She is still very much with Grigor.”
The sexy singer is reportedly dating professional tennis player Grigor Dimitrov. Prior to dating him, she was linked to Race One Driver Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile, he has been linked to Kendall Jenner.
Before Calvin Harris dated Taylor Swift, he was in a relationship with British pop star Rita Ora. Now, he’s been focused on making new music for his upcoming fifth studio album. Harris opened up on his new collaboration with Rihanna on his hit single “This is What You Came For” was “insane” because he felt “nervous” about dropping it.
“She’s a legend. Like, there’s not many artists that you do a song with them, then you play it back in the studio and it already sounds like it does on the radio. She’s an icon. [I was] nervous. That was an insane process. I first played the track to her back in November, I drove down to her house and played it to her in real life because she doesn’t get emails. So I went round and was watching what the reaction was, and after a couple of plays she was in!”
Calvin admitted that he played the track to Rihanna at Coachella. He was surprised to learn that she loved it. He admits that he loves working with the “Needed Me” singer because her voice is so unique.
“She’s got that iconic voice, hasn’t she? The first time I heard her sing We Found Love, I thought it couldn’t get any better than this. Her voice is out of control, how distinct it is. There’s no one like her.”
