Selena Gomez Jealous Of Taylor Swift, ‘Determined’ To Renew Justin Bieber Romance?
Selena Gomez seems to have it all professionally, with her Revival Tour proving that the singer has made the transition from Disney Channel princess to pop music diva. But when it comes to her romantic life since her highly publicized breakup with Justin Bieber a few years ago, is Selena secretly suffering. Is her emotional pain exacerbated by the sight of her best friend Taylor Swift with Tom Hiddleston while longing to find a way to rekindle her own romance with Bieber?
Taylor and Selena held separate Fourth of July parties, leading to speculation that the two were feuding because Gomez was jealous of Swift’s new romance with Tom, noted Hollywood Life.
But although Taylor and Hiddleston have succeeded in creating a romance to remember, Gomez is not envious, a source told Hollywood Life. Selena, 23, is focused on her Revival Tour rather than on her best friend’s romantic relationships.
Swift, 26, and Hiddleston, 35, have Gomez’s blessings when it comes to their love affair, but the “Same Old Love” singer isn’t spending much of her time analyzing her pal’s new romance.
“Selena is not jealous of Taylor or her new relationship with Tom, rather she sees it as just another guy with Taylor,” clarified the source. “Their relationship is so new, Selena is not giving it too much attention.”
Moreover, Taylor and Tom even took the time to go to the Nashville concert that Selena staged. The couple enjoyed some PDA while cheering for Gomez.
Gomez currently has such a busy schedule that she’s rushed just to keep pace with her own life. The singer has her second album, her tour, and campaigns with both Coca-Cola and Louis Vuitton, all of which require that she stay focused on “doing her life and career,” added the insider.
As further evidence that Taylor and Selena are still on good terms, Hollywood Life points out that their friendship survived the volatile off-again-on-again romance that Gomez had with Justin Bieber for years.
But does Selena now secretly miss Justin and long to rekindle their romance? That’s the report from In Touch, which cites a source who claims that a sequence of events, including seeing Bieber hook up again with reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian, caused Gomez to long for the 22-year-old “Sorry” singer.
In addition to learning that Justin had returned to Kourtney, Selena felt devastated when her friend Christina Grimmie was killed in a shooting. The combination of that tragic loss and Bieber’s rekindled romance with Kardashian caused Gomez to decide that “she loved Justin,” claims In Touch, noting that the source described Selena as “enraged” about Bieber’s relationship with Kardashian.
“Justin explained that he is quietly seeing Kourtney Kardashian again,” clarified the insider.
OK! magazine speculates that a love triangle may exist among Bieber, Kourtney, and Selena, referencing a source who claims that Gomez has sought to re-evaluate her life.
“[Selena] realized life is short, so she called [Justin] and told him she loved him.”
But Bieber told Gomez that he has returned to Kardashian, although the two have sought to keep their renewed romance out of the public spotlight.
“They’ve been so careful that some of Justin’s team don’t even know they’re together,” added the insider.
But even getting the update from Bieber that he is with Kourtney hasn’t halted Gomez’s determination to renew her romance with the pop star, claims the source.
“Now [Selena is] incessantly calling, texting, and emailing [Justin]. She’s determined to get him back.”
However, Gossip Cop denies that Gomez is attempting to get back together with Bieber, citing its own source who said that a conversation between Selena and Justin about Kourtney never occurred. The source also discounted the claim that Gomez was constantly texting, calling, and emailing Bieber.
