Why Kim Kardashian’s Waist Has Everyone Buzzing Again

Everyone has been buzzing about Kim Kardashian’s waistline ever since Fergie dropped her new music “M.I.L.F $.” The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been accused of having her waist Photoshopped in the video. Now, both her BFF, Chrissy Teigen, and Fergie’s stylist are addressing those rumors.

First up, Chrissy Teigen. The new mom addressed the reality star’s tiny waist when she recently stopped by E! News. Teigen claims she saw Kardashian in the trailer and she was in awe of her incredibly small waist. But the reason why she was small is because she was wearing latex in the video, as most of the famous ladies were.

As for Chrissy’s own tiny waist, she admits that she wears a waist trainer. She just told People that she’s been wearing the contraption to get her post-baby body back. But it looks like Chrissy doesn’t need any help since she also looked incredible in Fergie’s video.

“I think people think that I’ve snapped back, but I really have just, in fact, been utilizing undergarments more. I never was a Spanx person or a waist-trainer person. Now I do it. It looks great on the outside, but trust me, I’m a bit soft.”

Meanwhile, Fergie’s stylist, B. Akerlund, revealed to Entertainment Tonight Online that making Kardashian’s waist appear small was all part of the plan, which worked because it got people talking.

“I knew from the moment we met that I wanted to play with her insanely amazing body to an extreme character we had never seen from her before. I incorporated corsetry and latex to exaggerate her natural body shape. The idea was that everything was pumped up with an insanely skinny waist and super tall boots, which created a real-life Kim Barbie.”

Kim even shot back at the haters. She took to her website and app to admit that no Photoshop was used in the music video. Kim wrote that her hour-glass shape was created by some crafty styling that consisted of latex “denim” shorts with a corset in the back, according to the New York Mag.

Then, Kim Kardashian followed up with a steamy bathing suit photo on Instagram, as reported by Page Six. This time around, she shared a mirror selfie of herself wearing a black one-piece swimsuit with a high cut and plunging neckline. She revealed to her fans that she was in the middle of a fitting for a upcoming photo shoot.

According to NW, this rant comes after Kardashian denied that she uses butt pads to enhance her booty. Ever since she gave birth to Saint West back in December, Kardashian has been open about getting back to her pre-baby weight. She even documented most of her weight loss journey on her Snapchat account. Kardashian is close to reaching her goal of 120 pounds thanks to her low-carb Atkins diet and cardio work-outs, as reported by The Improper.

And like Chrissy Teigen, the starlet has also been vocal about her love for waist trainers. Plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Sinclair told the outlet that some of his own patients have lost up to six inches from the elastic band corset.

“This is a remarkable way to train your waist to be smaller,” he was quoted as saying to the outlet.

Kim Kardashian has notoriously promoted the waist trainers by the Waist Gang Society on Instagram. According to a new report, via the Daily Mail, the brand is under a $5 million class action lawsuit after a California woman claimed that the product did not “shrink” her waist.

A Florida-based firm has since confirmed to the British outlet that the allegations against the company have been dropped. Katie Corvino, the Senior Entertainment Writer of Elite Daily, tried a waist trainer similar in style to Kim’s, but is from HourglassAngel.com. After she took it for a test-run for 30 days, she noticed that she did lose inches from her waist.

But Dr. Gina Sam told Yahoo! Style that waist trainers will not make you lose inches immediately.

“Some claim you will lose body fat while using a waist-trainer, and that is not true. There is no research to support that.”

But Ruben Soto, CEO of Hourglass Angel, argues that the trainers do have weight-loss benefits.

“Results vary from person to person, but waist training has several benefits,” Soto said. “You get an instant hourglass shape the second you put it on. It’s also a great complement for a healthy lifestyle that can help you feel confident and keep you motivated with your diet and fitness.”

However, waist trainers should not replace diet and exercise. Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian’s tiny waists are only a temporary fix with their waist trainers, but they could be onto something here.
