Katy Perry May Put Taylor Swift On Serious Blast On New Album [Report]

Katy Perry has allegedly written and recorded several diss tracks aimed at Taylor Swift in response to her scathing 2014 single, “Bad Blood.”

“Katy has recorded response tracks about ‘Bad Blood’ and about Taylor Swift,” a source recently alleged to Hollywood Life of Perry’s upcoming new music, claiming that Katy is currently contemplating whether or not to reignite her feud with Swift by releasing the songs or scrapping them to put an end to their past drama once and for all.

The insider revealed this week that as much as Perry would like to release the songs to have the last word over their drama, “she also wants the petty bulls*** between them both to just end.”

“[Katy] is weighing the pros and cons on releasing them,” the source then claimed of the tracks.

“It certainly would help record sales and she would be happy to get the last word on everything,” the site’s insider continued, but revealed that Katy is still yet to decide on whether she’ll be taking aim at Taylor in song. “[It’s] currently a flip of the coin on if she is going to go through it or not.”

Hollywood Life‘s latest report claiming that Katy is ready to hit back at Taylor over her “Bad Blood” diss comes just days after Radar Online also alleged that Perry has at least one diss track aimed at Swift, even reporting that she is in fact planning on making the song a single from her upcoming fifth studio album.

“Katy has written a scathing response and intends to make it a single,” an insider close to Katy told Radar Online this week. “[The song] will reference some of the things she feels Taylor has done to play her peers against each other.”

The site then went on to claim that Perry’s much-anticipated fifth studio album, her first since she released Prism in 2013, is about to drop pretty soon.

“Katy Perry’s new album is on the way,” the insider told the site of the as-yet-untitled new album. “[Katy’s] been buried in meetings with her label execs over at Capitol to make sure it blows her competition out of the water.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, fans have been speculating for months that Perry is planning on putting Swift on blast with a new track in response to “Bad Blood.”

Rumors have long swirled that Perry and Swift have been locked in a pretty nasty feud ever since Taylor alluded to the song being all about her drama with Katy in a candid 2014 interview with Rolling Stone.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Taylor said at the time of the scathing diss track, though she did not explicitly name Katy as the star in question.

“She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away,” Swift continued of the unnamed popstar, “and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'”

Taylor then admitted in the candid magazine interview that the unnamed person also “sabotaged” her tour, alleging that the fellow popstar poached dancers from her ‘Red Tour’ that stretched between 2013 and 2014. “Now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it,” Swift said.

Fans were then quick to point the finger at Katy, suggesting that a number of dancers employed by Taylor for her tour shows had jumped ship to join Perry’s “Prism Tour.”

Katy later appeared to confirm the speculation in a tweet posted back in September, 2014, writing, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

Though Perry didn’t name Taylor by name in the social media response, it was speculated that Katy was in fact comparing Swift to Regina George, the villain from the 2004 movie, Mean Girls.

Do you think Katy Perry should release her alleged “Bad Blood” response songs?
