Niall Horan has been moving forward with his solo career, but One Direction fans that have been praying 1D is not officially breaking up finally have a bit of cheerful news on the horizon — if a comedian Niall Horan knows can be believed.
Niall Horan has recently taken several steps to establish his year off from One Direction, and most of them include golfing for charity or promoting his golf management company.
For this reason, it is no surprise that Niall Horan’s first magazine cover without One Direction is for golfing, according to Mirror. Gracing the cover of Today’s Golf, Niall Horan also mentioned that Harry Styles like to play golf with him sometimes when they were on tour with One Direction.
While information about Niall Horan doing a solo magazine cover seems to conflict with the idea that One Direction is getting back together, it appears that the two trajectories could be merging.
Of course, the real question is whether or not this information about One Direction breaking their hiatus in 2017 by an alleged friend of Niall Horan’s is actually true or not.
As it appears, the friend of Niall Horan’s that is tweeting about One Direction’s hiatus officially being over in 2017 is a comedian, so it is difficult to interpret the information as factual.
Is this all a sick joke meant to get a rise out of Niall Horan and One Direction fans? Despite the inability to take One Direction hiatus rumors seriously at this point, Niall Horan’s friend claims he is not teasing Directioners.
Capital FM added to this on July 7 with copies of the tweets about One Direction from Niall Horan’s friend, and when confronted about whether or not he was joking, he says he is serious. Daniel Walton also goes on to add that One Direction is recording an album in 2017 and going on tour later that winter.
Naturally, this information has not been confirmed or denied by individual members of One Direction, Niall Horan, 1D’s management team, or their record label.
Despite this, there are other “hints” that One Direction could be back in 2017, according to UnReality TV, and Harry Styles is one of the other people implicated besides Niall Horan.
In the meantime, Niall Horan is having plenty of fun without One Direction, and he was even called a “man about town” by Mirror. It was also rumored that Niall Horan is recording solo music without One Direction.
Interestingly, whether he is recording music, going to music festivals, or attending VIP sporting events, most of these activities that Niall Horan is attending without One Direction are in the U.K.
If Niall Horan is spending all of his time in the U.K., then why is he buying a home in Hollywood? Is it to get closer to Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, or is Niall Horan simply rich or getting into real estate investing?

In the end, if the rumors about the end of the One Direction hiatus are true, it will be a nice change of pace from the news Simon Cowell shared recently. According to Billboard, Simon Cowell was quoted on March 24 stating the following.
“I don’t know if it’s a hiatus or a breakup, to be honest. In a weird way, I don’t want to know. I don’t think they’ve had enough time to experience what it’s like not being in the group to really answer that.”
On the other hand, Simon Cowell might be overjoyed that Niall Horan and One Direction will be getting back to work because doing it all over again with a new band might be too much for Simon to endure.
About first working with One Direction, Entertainment Tonight quoted Simon Cowell saying they were “a nightmare” to work with and were like “five puppies.”
