‘Million Dollar Listing’ Star Ryan Serhant Marries Emilia Bechrakis In Dream Wedding In Greece, But Where is Fredrik Eklund?

Congratulations are in order for Million Dollar Listing New York star Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis! People reported that they had a big, fat, Greek wedding on the island of Corfu with 150 guests including family and close friends. Upbeat costar Luis Ortiz was in attendance, but mercurial Fredrik Eklund was nowhere in site, as he is in the midst of his own European vacation.

Fans of the show have been following the couple for the past few years, watching Ryan take dance lessons and adorably practicing in the mirror. Then, Ryan closed down Times Square to ask Emila to marry him, with only a string quartet (and of course, the film crew) in attendance, a romantic gesture that has endeared him to the audiences forever.

The couple married on Thursday in Pontikonisi, an islet, just south of the Greek island of Corfu, as Thursday weddings are very traditional in Greece. (And a 7/7 wedding seems very auspicious with the double lucky seven!) Guests arrived by boat for the 7:30 p.m. wedding. Most likely, they married in the 11th century Byzantine chapel of Pantokrator, the only church on the islet. Marrying on the island of the bride’s family, Ryan and Emilia had the traditional Greek wedding that Emilia and her family desired, including the wearing of the two crowns that are symbolically attached with ribbon to signify that they were no longer two individuals but now forever as one.

“From the moment I met Emilia, I knew it would be pretty incredible to do it in Greece and be surrounded by everyone close to us.”

Directly after the wedding ceremony, the newly married couple and their guests went to the Villa Kanoni for their reception. The wedding party enjoyed an elegant and delicious Mediterranean meal that included chilled soup, risotto with summer truffle, goat cheese salad and roasted lamb. All Greek festivities must end with music, and there was a string quartet as well DJ Spartans who made sure everyone was up and dancing. At the end of the evening, fireworks lit up the sky in celebration.

During the week, before the actual wedding ceremony, celebrity event planner Kevin Lee organized some spectacular events for the honored guests. Fans of Million Dollar Listing know that Emilia preferred to have a smaller wedding, but as always, the two worked together. They wound up having the smaller wedding Ryan originally wanted, but in Greece, which Emilia wanted.

“I’m more of an intimate wedding kind of person but I’m marrying Ryan so it’s a lot bigger than it would have been.”

Unlike many of the other significant others on the Million Dollar Listings shows, Emilia has never been put off by Ryan’s busy schedule, or his rescheduling and shuffling of plans because of a business snafu. Instead, Emilia has always been calm, flexible, and has stood by Ryan’s side as he continues to grow his business. In fact, she has also moved on from being a lawyer for a shipping company and now is in real estate, no doubt Ryan’s influence.

“He has the biggest heart. He’s probably the nicest, kindest, most generous, loving human being I’ve ever met. He’s my best friend. I couldn’t imagine marrying anyone else.”

Ryan had some of his own wedding theatrics that just never transpired.

“But I did have a few ideas that are not transpiring. I originally wanted six Apache helicopters to fly in and drop me and my brothers down into the wedding.”

So far, there has only been one photo of the wedding released. The groom looked incredibly handsome in a Vknagrani Mediterranean blue tux and the bride glowed in a Romona Keveža champagne strapless gown.

Fans of Million Dollar Listing New York and of Serhant and Bechrakis will be thrilled to know that there is a special spin-off show. Million Dollar Listing New York: Ryan’s Wedding will show all of the gorgeous wedding details including fashion and the gorgeous Greek setting. This will be broadcast in the fall. For now, we have to enjoy the Instagram photos until the special airs on television.
