Bethenny Frankel Doesn’t Understand Luann’s Rush To Get Engaged To Thomas
Bethenny Frankel has known Luann de Lesseps since she first joined the show. The two ladies were two of the original Real Housewives of New York stars back when the show first began. While Bethenny took a hiatus from the show, de Lesseps was just a friend of the wives for a year. Regardless, Frankel knows about the Countess’ past relationships, including that her marriage to the Count ended due to cheating. She also knows that de Lesseps wanted to have a baby with Jacques, her French boyfriend after her marriage. She didn’t get her child, so when she met Thomas D’Agostino, things couldn’t move fast enough.
According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel reveals that she doesn’t understand why Luann is in such a rush to get engaged and get married to a man she barely knows. Plus, it doesn’t help that both Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer have been with the same man.
“Enough with Carole and Luann. I know you’re all bored. Luann gives zero f—s about Carole. Carole has no interest in Luann’s friendship. Asked and answered. Zzzzzz,” Bethenny Frankel writes in her blog for Bravo about Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, adding, “Wow. I can say many things but one I am certain about is that no one is jealous of Luann’s relationship with Tom. At this point, we are really hoping it is real and that Luann is happy, but no one is jealous. Fact.”
And Bethenny does bring up an interesting point. None of the ladies have actually said that they were jealous of Luann’s new relationship with Thomas. Sure, it must be exciting to meet your soul mate and fall in love so quickly, but none of the ladies are eagerly looking for a man to marry these days. Ramona Singer is just finding herself again after her divorce, and Sonja is knee-deep in her various business ventures. Frankel herself is dating, but she is in no rush to make up her mind about marriage. Plus, de Lesseps’ case doesn’t really hold up considering three people at the table have been with Thomas.
“So three people at this table have been with Tom? I mean the Upper East Side is small, but Manhattan is huge. Something smells fishy. Why the rush? What is it with this guy swimming in one tiny fishbowl? I’m feeling my usual skeptical self,” Bethenny Frankel points out in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of New York.
Maybe de Lesseps just really wanted to secure Thomas for herself before she just became another number for him. He had already been a bachelor for years and he has probably been with quite a few women. But Luann can’t understand why the ladies aren’t happy for her.
“It pissed me off,” Luann revealed during last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, according to PEOPLE magazine, adding, “When you’re here and you’re feeling great and you’re in love, everybody tries to rip me down. Can you not be happy for me? All my friends are happy for me except you bitches. Why?”
And while some of the housewives were indeed happy for her, including Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill, Thomas’ former lovers were not so sure as to why things had to move so fast.
“She’s only been with him for four weeks,” Ramona and Sonja revealed during a dance class on Wednesday’s episode of the show, according to PEOPLE, adding, “I don’t like that she’s being self-absorbed, only thinking about herself and the man she’s with. She’s not paying attention to her friends.”
