Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Rumored To Be Engaged Despite Matthew Perry Romance Report
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are rumored to be engaged despite recent reports linking the former Dawson’s Creek actress to her Kennedys: After Camelot co-star Matthew Perry.
While the couple has yet to confirm they are dating and have even denied any such relationship, they continue to be faced with rumors of an engagement, a wedding, and a baby.
On July 5, the International Business Times claimed rumors were swirling of an engagement as Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx, as well as her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, remained silent in regard to the reports. But that is nothing new. After all, the rumored couple just may have one of the most secretive relationships of all time.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were first linked to one another in 2013 after they were spotted dancing together during a charity event in New York, but right away, Foxx shot down allegations of a possible romance while chatting with Page Six. At the time, Foxx claimed he was dancing with Colin Powell at the event, as well, and joked that he and Powell could have been romantically linked.
Still, the report further claimed that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx had also spent time together during Super Bowl weekend, although no photos of them together ever surfaced.
Years later, as rumors continued to swirl, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s romance was believed to be over as she allegedly embarked on an on-set romance with Matthew Perry.
Katie Holmes and Perry “really like each other” and have become “quite close” while filming The Kennedys: After Camelot, an insider revealed to OK! Magazine, noting that the couple had clear “on-screen chemistry” and had been “spending a lot of time together” behind-the-scenes.
“There’s a real spark with them… They have had dinner a couple of times and clearly enjoy being with each other,” the source alleged, according to a report by Gossip Cop. “You can tell they really like each other a lot.”
OK! Magazine also claimed the romance between Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx was fizzling out. However, in response to the report, a rep for Katie Holmes told Gossip Cop there was no truth to the story regarding “sparks flying” between the actress and Perry.

As for why Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are so hush-hush about their relationship, they have both spoken of why during separate interviews in recent years.
“I don’t want that moment in my life to define me, to be who I am,” Katie Holmes explained to People Magazine in October 2014. “I don’t want that to be what I’m known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now.”
“I like to stay quiet, you know, with anyone that I’m dating; that I’m really, really dating,” Foxx revealed to Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell in 2012. “If there’s somebody that you’re dating, the worst thing you can do is let that [points at camera] touch you. Because once that camera touches you, [it’s out]…You have to make sure it’s real. We don’t take time to do that anymore.”
While Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx aren’t regularly seen together in public, a Radar Online source last month claimed Holmes and her 10-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, often spend time with Foxx at his Los Angeles home, which isn’t too far from her own home on the west coast.
